This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed, hugely overpriced, not worth more than £25 a night. My room door was thin and the top panels had been smashed in and glued back on with mastic. Add to that the sign on the door advising not to let anybody in as 'it may be your room they break in to' and you get the picture. The room was filthy, there was a film of dust on everything, the towels were so thin they must have been years old and washed to oblivion, the only toiletries consisted of a bar of soap (50p extra for shower gel), there were stains on the duvet, the information referred to food locally from a place that burnt down years ago and in general it was very tired and extremely basic.
Thankfully I was only there 1 night. When I came in I was being as quiet as possible as it was nearly 1am, I needn't have bothered though as the room by the door had drum and bass music loud enough to cover any noise I made. I have a feeling they have fallen on hard times and are being used by the local council as a hostel - there is just no pride there at all. I was given a key on entering and left to find my own way to the room (first time ever in a B&B) and when I gave it back they didn't bother to ask about my stay, I think they're ashamed.
I didn't go to breakfast so I can't comment on it, the poor room hygiene left me concerned over standards so I bought a sandwich down the road instead.
