“Worth the Walk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Great B&B and an excellent base to explore Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area. David and Sarah were fantastic hosts, providing clean, comfortable accommodation. The breakfast was fantastic, good choice and locally sourced products. Whilst the B&B is a good 20 minute walk from the centre there is a day time bus and the taxi fare was <£6 one way.

Great little B&B to see the sights of Straford.
About half an hour walk down one road into the centre. Also walking distance to Anne Hathaway's cottage.
Private on-site parking.
Warm welcome from owners.
Room 5 = Spacious, cosy and nicely decorated. Massive bathroom
Tasty breakfast with a wide variety of choice.
Corner shop opposite for your essential needs
Would highly recommend this B&B

A very pleasant guest house, with ample parking for guests. The hosts David and Sarah, were extremely kind and thoughtful. The rooms are clean, modern and have everything you need for relaxing stay. The breakfast was seriously good, plenty to eat and top quality products too. The only down side for some could be the walk into town which takes about 20 minutes at good pace, however it does have a bus route. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heron Lodge when staying in Stratford. Thank you both!

Both David and Sarah were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights and found everything excellent. The room was lovely and clean with tea and coffee making facilities plus biscuits and a mint chocolate each. The en suite bathroom was beautifully clean and clean towels were provided each day. The breakfast was out of this world plenty of choice and 3 courses enough to see you through the day. We did walk into town on our first day about 2-3 miles but quite a easy walk as you just keep walking straight along the one road and it's flat. This weekend was a joint birthday and Christmas present from our daughter, it was by far the best one and we would not hesitate to recommend this B&B and would definitely return (but wait for better weather).

We arrived late at 8:30pm and David was waiting for us. The room was standard (not roomy but ok; Need a bit of manoeuvring if you have large suitcase) with fantastic shower and separate WC, which is great. The sink is in the room but no complaints as it makes getting water for the coffee/tea facilities in the room easy. Bed is comfy. All guest rooms are upstairs. There is a convenience shop across from it, which sells sandwiches and drinks amongst others. It is walkable to Anne Hathaway's Cottage but a bit far if going into town itself. Overall, good value for money.

We stayed for 2 nights at this delightful B&B. The owners were very hospitable, the room was clean and comfortable with some nice little touches, and the breakfast was varied and beautifully served. We would not hesitate to return here.
