Lovely touch with the coffee. Owner from Czech Republic used to work there when it was Gusto Ricco.
Price of a nice sit down coffee about the same as costa a Nd Starbucks but oh soooooo much nicer. Have always been able to get a seat probably as its off main drag. If you're a visitor find costa and go down the little side street (union st) it's on the right. Food is ok too. Chef is Italian which makes a change. Crepes could do with being thinner but food is well presented, well priced for Stratford, staff are lovely.
Manager could do with changing his apron and there is a distinct smell I didn't like. Lots of local people but take away coffee and sandwiches. A lovely restaurant that I will always use to meet friends because it ticks all the boxes.
Give it a whirl! Oh and yes it has a converted cellar and the point is? Most of the old converted restaurants in Stratford were once houses. I think that's part of their charm. If you want Pizza Hut then so be it but plenty of us like independent quirky restaurants that offer something a bit different.
Cannelloni and past dishes could do with being served with g/brea or salad, more bread for platter but other than that great.
