“Great circular walk around Lapworth with added National Trust attractions to link into or just walk past.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

We started at Packwood house then down to the stratford canal . The locks leading down to Kingswood junction and the basin there are a sight not to be missed. Everyone seems friendly on route. Our circular walk took in two national trust properties, Packwood House ( re opening May 1st 2013 ( new restaurant in Nov 2013, and the moated Baddesley Clinton. Best to look at OS map 221 and pick a route to suit. Would recommend wearing Wellington boots as some section are rather boggy or very muddy. Kids would love wading through that mud. The Boot Inn at Kingswood Junction ( Stratford canal ) and the The Navigation at Lapworth , Bridge 65 on the Grand Union , are great watering holes around. Don't forget the seek out the wind up information posts along side of the canal. OS map 221 ( your library may even have one)

“Lovely walk into town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is a perfect short walk into Stratford from Wilmcote, away from the traffic. You can get the train or tour bus into Wilmcote then take 30-45 mins to walk back into town. Lovely.

“Relaxing afternoon on the canal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This is a lovely place to visit if ever you're in Stratford-upon-Avon. There are regular cruises along the canal, and this is a very pleasant way to spend an hour. I visited Stratford-upon-Avon in September 2012, and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing canal boat ride. It takes about an hour, and is a lovely way to see Stratford-upon-Avon from the water. It was a bit overcast and drizzly when I was there, but I still enjoyed the cruise and would highly recommend it.
