“A little disapointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

After visiting Shakespears Birthplace we also, on our tickets visited Halls Croft. A little disapointed after the previous venue as there did not seem to be so much to see but from pictures of the grounds etc it is possibly better to visit in the spring and summer as everything is so wet and muddy at the present moment we possibly did not see the venue at its best

Thank you for visiting Hall's Croft and writing a review of your trip. I am sorry to hear that you didn't get the best out of your visit due to the weather; I hope that you manage to visit again to see the gardens in the sunshine.

“Worth a stopover en route to Shakespeare's grave”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We stopped by Hall's Croft en route to Holy Trinity Church (which has Shakespeare's grave). We were pleasantly surprised by the good quality exhibits which gave us good insight into the families life and activities. What made our visit a pleasure was the fact that the staff gave our child a clipboard with a paper where he had to answer various questions about small cartoon characters around the site. This kept him well occupied while we could browse the site. There was also a small activities area upstairs which was fun. The house also had a garden out back, although we skipped as it was near closing time, but would probably have been a nice stroll in the daylight.

Hall's Croft was very friendly and we enjoyed the visit. Definitely recommend if you have the full Shakespeare's Houses ticket to be sure to stop over.

“Doctoring has changed!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This was our second visit to Hall's Croft in the last five or six years. Even though its attractions rang a bell in my mind from the previous visit, this time was just as interesting as the first. The strongest attraction for me was the series of case histories of medical diagnoses written by Dr. Hall. His observations are extremely detailed though the conclusions may be a little short of accurate.

Beyond that are the furnishings, art, and design of the home. Oh, yes. Don't forget to ask questions of the knowledgeable guides at this site; they're competent, personable, and willing to help.

“Hall's Croft visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Informative visit. A bit restrictive for the disabled. Check the venue ahead of any planned visits but moving around isn't too bad
