“Great Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

We were a party of four from Cheshire, we have stayed in this hotel about four years ago and everything was how we remembered. What a great hotel, the rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff were cheerful and very helpful nothing too much trouble. The breakfast well what can I say it was gorgeous, and I must mention Dougie our waiter, his service and attention to detail was second to none, he was extremely pleasant and told us about the sights and how to get there. Five star service from a four star hotel.

We had a great 2 night deal which included dinner on Friday evening. We expected a very run-of-the-mill stay but they far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is lovely: clean, comfortable and stylish. Beds are very comfortable, shower is hot and powerful, no noise or disturbances. The staff are very helpful & friendly without feeling false or overdone. The evening meal was beautiful! It was 3 course a la carte and not compromised at all because it was included in our rate. The breakfast is second to none and we all made sure we didn't miss it. I would definitely recommend and will be back.

Over our recent 2 night stay, nothing was too much trouble for the staff of this very comfortable, modern hotel. They really did try to accommodate all our needs and were always cheerful and friendly, especially the restaurant staff. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and were impressed by the quality and the presentation. The self-service breakfast was varied and tasty (real sausages!). The hotel location is especially convenient for the station, but is very quiet. It is a 15 minute walk to the RSC theatre. There was a good sized car park. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Stratford.

Another fantastic weekend. Went to the hotel for my husbands 40th birthday with friends, and I'm glad we did. Booked before Christmas and had a absolute bargin 2nts b&c plus evening meal on the first night of our stay for £164.00 wow! We checked in quickly and without and fuss. The hotel gave us an upgrade so that was amazing. Our room was massive queen size bed large 2 seater settee and reading chair. Lovely and clean bathroom power shower over the bath lovely fluffy bathrobes, clean towels everyday. Staff extremely helpful, they can't do enough for you. We ate in the hotels restaurant on the Friday night and the food was to die for. They found out it was my husbands birthday and bought his dessert out ona plate chocolate iced with Happy Birthday on it what another nice touch. So even though we had an absolute bargin not at any time was it compromised. Excellent hotel close to all amenities town, Shakespeare house, theatre, racecourse, train station. Staff amazing nothing to much trouble management should be proud of you all from staff on front desk, waiting staff in restaurant and bar, and most important house maids. You made our weekend feel special once again. Thank you.

Room Tip: Stay on the 2nd floor rooms starting with 200 and something, they feel larger.

I have stayed there for couple days with my mum, the Qhotel is one of best hotel I have been. The location is good, the building and garden are beautiful, room is big and clean, the most important is excellent service in reception and breakfast. Me and mum love so much. Thank you for all everything. We will go there again in summer hopefully.

Prior to writing this, I noticed that there were a number of "poor" and even "terrible" reviews and read them wondering if I'd stayed at a hotel in a parallel universe. In particular, I have never experienced such brilliant, personal and absolutely charming customer service by every member of staff we encountered (special mention to Douglas in the breakfast room, who was lovely all weekend and even - on learning of one of our party's birthday - brought her a glass of sparking wine) in any other hotel or restaurant.

The hotel was well placed for Stratford (we were there for both the Mantel novel plays), our rooms spotless and well decorated/furnished, very well equipped and very comfortable. We ate on our second night in the hotel restaurant (largely because it looked as if it was going to pour with rain and we didn't fancy getting soaked) and had a meal of excellent quality - my pudding (chocolate ganache with salted caramel ice cream) was sublime.

I'm nonplussed by criticism of breakfast, because we had no trouble getting seated on both mornings and there was plenty of hot, fresh food available. I can only conclude that problems experienced and commented upon in the last have been taken (as you would wish) seriously by the hotel management and all staff and rectified appropriately.

On seeing how close the Arden hotel was tot he RSC we wondered if we'd stay there in future - but after our two days at The Stratford, we were all adamant we'd return here next time.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in order to visit the RSC theatre. The hotel was excellent - the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was superb (probably worth getting down for breakfast at about 0900 as everything is fresh then). Our room (318) was warm, clean and comfortable, and the shower was brilliant. However, there was no shower cap available with the toiletries, so my mum won't be very pleased as she collects them! The only gripe we had was that the bar was busy for a Saturday night, and noisy young children should not be running around in it at 11pm. The car park was an additional £5, but there are plenty of spaces available and it is secure. It is our anniversary on Valentine's Day so we are considering returning to this hotel then to celebrate if we can find an agreeable room rate :)
