We decided to have a quick weekend away to Warwick for a bit of downtime and shopping.
Hotel - the hotel is a little jaded and does need modernising............but it was clean and the service was very welcoming. We had a four poster bedroom, very spacious. A nice large ensuite bathroom with loads of complimentary bathroom goodies and huge white towels.
Food - we ate out (Almanack in Kenilworth which was excellent!)
Breakfast - a combination of help yourself to all the usual continental options and then order whatever you fancied cooked fresh and hot, The service was a little slow in the morning - but when it arrived it was excellent.
I would recommend this hotel, its central, well priced large rooms and an excellent breakfast.

The charming email confirming my recent two night booking gave an anticiaption of the attention to customer service at the Peacock Hotel. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our club room. The room was very tastefully decorated and furnished and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet style affair but the hot food was freshly cooked and most tasty. Quality ingredients has been used. The welcome at breakfast was sincere and the quality of service was superb. I would have no hesitation in booking again at the Peacock. The staff overall struck an excellent balance between professionalism and friendly conversation. Overall, excelent value for money.

Room Tip: The club room we had on the top floor was most spacious

Nice friendly staff, breakfast good, air conditioning working, furniture perfectly OK. Only down side was the typical smal hotel bathroom/shower - a little grubby.

Car parking and WiFi free (included in advertised room rate) and WiFi good.

Overall though good value for money, would use again.

Visited hotel at Easter, was shown nice rooms. Booked several rooms a week later based on this viewing. When we arrived we had nasty rooms in a part of the hotel we had not been shown at all. The rat traps outside did not give confidence but when I went in the room I was quite glad of them because it looked like they would have liked the bathroom. It was dirty, made in a hurry unfinished and I could not shower in it. The tiles were orange with mould and in need of a scrub. Simple stuff, a bit of bleach. We booked several rooms and had to cancel one a few days before. When I asked to change rooms I was told they were full. When we came to check out we were told we had to pay for the room we did not use despite it being booked. So they got twice as much money for the room. That is unfair and greedy. On the plus side the staff were friendly and the breakfast was acceptable. I am usually really happy with Best Western but this one lets them down. Won't stay here again.

Room Tip: If you do stay here, don't have rooms on ground floor and see the actual room first.

We have stayed at the Peacock Hotel twice now as my partner and I often visit the University of Warwick. We recently visited for my partners doctoral graduation and had a really lovely experience. I would throughly reccommend paying the extra £20 to get a Club room as they are extremely spacious, beautifully decorated and a bargain (I only paid £80/night including breakfast). As we were celebrating I asked the bar staff for a small wine bucket with ice which they quickly provided me with to take up to our room. Breakfast was deliciously prepared in a lovely environment. The hotel is also conveniently located in the centre of Kenilworth within walking distance of several restaurants and pubs.

Will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: Pay the little bit extra for a Club Room, it is excellent value for money.
