“Well - it's a wagamama!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

They are a chain but the food is delicious always, the staff are lovely and there is always a busy, buzzy atmosphere. Great for early evening with kids too.

“Wagamama Newcastle”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

my wife and 2 young children tried out Wagamama, just for something different as we don't tend to go for Japanese food, we thought we would give it a go though, none of us were particularly impressed by the meals, but that may be down to our own personal tastes than there being anything wrong with the meals themselves

our children received there meals first and then I, and then my wife did wait quite a while for our meals, we hadn't really noticed as we were not in any kind of rush, so we didn't complain or anything, however the waitress came up and said, We know you have been waited a long time, perhaps to long, so have this meal curtsesy of Wagamama, Wagamama should be congratulated on doing this when customers wait to long (I didn't really know why we had to wait

“Stop asking what I'm up to later!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Food is always great here and the service is great. The staff however must recently have been told to ask you what you are up to for the rest of the day at the end of your meal. It's extremely irritating and intrusive. Mind your own business!

“Deliciously spicy Firecracker chicken and duck dumplings, child friendly too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

Ate here last weekend with our kids and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Food was fresh and delicious. We ate Firecracker chicken (hot but not ridiculously so), chicken and noodle broth, duck dumplings and chicken and rice from the kids menu. All washed down by a bottle of red which was reasonably priced at £15.

My only slight criticism would be that the portions weren't that big considering the average price tag of around £12 for a main course and £5 - £6 for a starter.

Otherwise though, if you are a fan of Asian food try Wagamama. Service was great and the food was freshly cooked and hot.

We will definitely return :)

“Always great- watch out for the Firecracker”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Go every month or so with my wife and 12 year-old son (Who has Chicken Katsu Curry every time, and loves it). Food is always prompt, tasty and as ordered.

Don't underestimate the Firecracker Chicken, it is lethally hot.

Beers are a little pricey at £6.45 (as a large one is necessary to put out the flames from the Firecracker)
