Visited Marco Polo’s again for a family birthday celebration. Excellent waiting staff; the girl who took our huge order got everything 100%, amazing.
This must be one of the best places to eat in town and I don’t say that lightly, being a bit of a fuss pot.
To start, I shared a tomato pizza garlic bread – really tasty. Then I had a starter portion of my favourite penne carbonara; this was a masterpiece, real pancetta and a very small penne which I’ve never seen before but complimented the dish perfectly.
Hubby had the calves liver with a generous amount of marsala sauce followed by sea bass with baby gem, pancetta and peas. Both he felt were beautifully cooked and well presented.
All washed down with a nice sauvignon blanc.
