“Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

The moment you come in you are made to feel right at home with the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere! Had a picture perfect afternoon with the lovely Tom who made me a yummy sandwich and some delicious cake! The art displayed it wonderful expressive and original. The cafe also serves some of the best coffee I've ever had! All this and at an affordable price! I will be recommending it all my friends!

“Coffee, cake and art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

2 minutes walk from Northumberland Street, this is a haven, a cafe with excellent, ever changing modern art. Good coffee, lovely home made cakes and the nicest, friendliest staff. You would not believe you are next to the busiest shopping street in the north east.

Found this place by chance in the first week it opened. Very friendly, good quality tea & coffee with plenty of papers & mags to read. Will definitely be back.

“hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

A wonderful relaxing little cafe in a quiet spot, yet in the heart of Newcastle. A lovely atmosphere, very friendly, nice mucic, good ambiance and a good selection of home made cakes and scones as well as breakfasts and lunches.
A good place to chill with a friend or with a book.
From chatting we learned that TLC was newly opened in Feb 2013. It is slightly hidden in the precinct where the central library is located, next to the entrance to the block of flats, Bewick Court. We found it from the signs on the walls nearby but it wasn't hard to locate, only one minute walk from the main shopping street (Northumberland Street) up a ramp or stairs.
