Stayed here for a weekend with friends, found the room clean and spacious, we were about 5 minutes walk to St James Park the down side came at breakfast, first morning down for breakfast constantly waiting for one or another item of food, second morning , no bacon, no bread, waited 15 minutes for beans and eggs to be brought out, people complaining to management but his advice to the guest was to go for a walk and come back later when it may be ready............. his attitude was very sharp and arrogant .

Ate in the Grill restaurant on a stormy night. The staff were lovely, very attentive and helpful. My daughter in law and I had the two-course meals which were excellent. The chicken Kiev was huge, beautifully cooked and not overpoweringly garlicky; the roast lamb was succulent and very tasty. I could not fault this considering it was a typical chain hotel.

Stayed here with friends for the rugby league magic weeekend everything about this hotel is prety average ;like the rooms the breakfast the drinks were a bit pricey and 10 mins from any decent pubs and clubs and having to que like we did for breakfast is out of order the bar and restaurant are not big enough for a hotel this size when full

Fab service and hotel, would definitely recommend and stay in future. Maybe some extras like shower caps available would make stay unbeatable... room was clean, bathroom too, and staff were excellent. Well done!!

The hotel was very impressive from the outside and a great location. The room itself was a good size but was a little dated. There were some coffee spills on the bedside table when I arrived and the window was dirty.

Our favourite hotel when we're visiting for the weekend. It's 5mins from the train station and there's also a multi storey car park behind the hotel. I think it was £24 for the full weekend to keep the car there.
The hotel is opposite the Centre of Life, 2mins away from the gay scene and also a 5min walk to the diamond strip.
Plenty of take aways on the hotels doorstep as well as restaurants. Reception were really friendly and helpful, as sad as it sounds we were down when there was a big Eastenders episode on and our tv wasn't working, within 5 mins of reporting it the manager came up with a brand new tv for us.

The hotel has a really great and friendly buzz about it at weekends, I would definitely recommend.
