Just had a wonderful overnight stay while on tour of the British Isles. Needed a light bulb change after maintenance had left for the night. Marcus, the manager on duty, came and changed it out. He did it with curtesy and humor. This was typical of all the staff we encountered. The hotel was very comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food. I would definitely stay here again.

Arrived at start of first stay not to be informed of breakfast details or anything else by reception. Bar staff not very welcoming. Positive was room was pretty good.

Second trip almost straight after tried the restaurant. First night was average, good friendly service but food was a little bland. Second night waited an eternity for a burger and eventually gave up and left hungry. Positive was room again was pretty good, bar staff still pretty miserable however.

Overall, it's central, the rooms are clean, the food is average and the bar staff aren't the most welcoming. It has a vending machine which is useful when you are starving after waiting ages for a burger, cash machine and offers a laundry service. Car park opposite, good showers, good iron and board in rooms. A bit noisy at the back as railway nearby. No A/C.

Clean, tidy, inexpensive city centre hotel with bar and restaurant staff that could be more cheerful.

The hotel is loacted near the pink triangle of the city and close to some good bars and great night life.
The roomsa are spacious and large with a good sleep quality, though the room service options are limited and very expensive, also on a food bill of 80 pounds it seems absurd to charge a tray charge of 5 pound additonal

We stayed for three nights and although the hotel was really busy, we did not experience any late night noise as stated in previous reviews. Our room was lovely, the bed comfy and lovely and clean. The check in was seamless as was the check out. All the hotel staff we met were fantastic from the moment we arrived. The bar wasn't overly expensive and it was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. It is also in a great location. We would definitely stay there again.

Here for 4 days for a convention at Telewest Arena, can honestly say it was a great place to stay and will do the same next year if possible. Lots of hen parties etc but the staff had placed the convention delegates on the same floor therefore we weren't disturbed that is considerate booking.

Room Tip: We were in 505 and 506 it was fine, even had an iron and ironing board. Free wifi was good enough to...

On arrival I felt the man on check in was looking down his nose at us especially when he rolled his eyes mentioning we'd booked on late rooms. Com. Our room was very dusty especially in the bathroom and the shower curtain although looked clean smelt awful. There was also a sticker of a cartoon penis on the wall of the shower. The location is poor for the town centre but great if visiting the metro arena. Taxis are plentiful from outside the hotel. We have stayed in many nice hotels in newcastle unfortunately I don't feel the was one of them and will not be returning.
