“Wholeheartedly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

We saw the advert "the best cheese toasties in the world" on a board outside and decided to take the challenge. Served in sourdough bread with a mature cheddar inside they are really good. My mouth is watering at the recollection.
The teas we ordered were served in their own glass teapots so there was no guesswork as to how brewed it was. Great service, pleasantly delivered and with a smile made the extra difference between a 4 and a 5 star for us. Combine this with great sounds (not too loud either), an eclectic ambience and interesting walls (you'll see) meant we've started recoomending it to family and friends already!

“Great Coffee, Great Music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Very, very good coffee, not quite on a par with Flat Caps, but up there. What makes this place so good is the music and location, sit back and watch the world go by on one of the most beautiful streets in the UK.

“Superb coffee, food & location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012 via mobile

This place is in a fantastic city centre location. If the weather is nice have a seat outside to watch the world go by and have some of the best coffee the city has to offer.
Also if you're hungry you have to try the Arancini's, they're amazing!

“Great coffee !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012 via mobile

Surprised this doesn't have any reviews as it deserves some praise .
Most importantly it has great coffee, good beans, brewed well. I've had great black brewed coffee on both visits, the wife rated her flat whites too. Nice selection of cakes and pastries, well priced .
The small size of the place means it can be hard to get a seat inside, though there's plenty outside . They also need to keep an eye on the front of house as on my visits it's been a bit sticky tables and debris strewn, given their attention to design detail inside that seems a shame.
Still great coffee is what you come for and it is .
