“Gem on the Tyne”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

Been here several times now and had an amazing breakfast every time. Small and compact, but they always manage to fit you in, if you don't mind waiting. It's certainly worth it. Eggs always cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit.

“Best eggs in the the World”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

As it says in the title the best eggs ever. Perfect boiled poached or fried. They know how to make a breakfast and cook a proper egg unlike many breakfast establishments in the centre.

Amazing good quality good value breakfast. Highly recommend a latte which comes with a fresh gingerbread man ☕️. Friendly service from Maggie & Simon

“My favourite place for breakfast and lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

Excellent breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs, and some different options like poached eggs with asparagus and potato cakes. Delicious lunches too - maybe more expensive than other sandwich type options but way better. Simon is a proper chef, so will make all sorts of variations from the menu to suit the customer.

“Best eggs benedict. Ever!”

Top notch food and a local favourite of ours. There's something honest about the place and the food.
