“Great location, excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2012

Stayed 2 nights last week on a Groupon deal with tickets to see Joan Baez at the Sage, the hotel is in a great location close to the quayside and city centre. Rooms are clean and currently being refurbished, very helpful staff, would definitely use again.

Only £60 for a midweek stay. Hotel rooms are very modern and recently refurbuished, the reception and corridoors are a bit dated, but appear to be being upgraded bit by bit.

Great location for Quayside and City Centre.

Looking for the hotel can be quite difficult as the main entrance is in a back ally, which automatically sent alarm bells in my head, what hotel's main entrance is in a back ally? My expectations were quite low as we only paid £35 for the night, we just wanted somewhere to stay after a night out in Newcastle and the hotel seemed ideal for the price. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to our room, it was clean, modern and the bathroom was lovely. The room was a double and the bed was very comfortable. Overall definitely worth the money, it even included a reasonable size television which contained freeview. The room also contained a hair dryer, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, shower gel, shampoo etc. My only complaints about the hotel would be the lift, which would only work if all doors had been closed on another floor which didn't seem to happen!

Room Tip: Try to get a room that hasn't got a view of the carpark.

Good location, if somewhat undesired site. Close to quayside, underneath an industrial looking bridge. Dodgy rear entrance, rooms rather shabby. I was there for a stag night, location was Ideal on the map. When u get there it's a slightly different sight. Paid 85.50 for a sat night stay. About 40 would have reflected a true value for the package you get. Look around there must be better places to stay.
