Stayed here on a hen weekend, we were looking to stay somewhere inexpensive, clean and welcoming, we were not disappointed. Rooms were very clean and ready for an early arrival. My only real complaint would be a very strong smell of dampness in the corridor. All staff who we come across weref fantastic. Great service on the desk and bar. The evening security were also extremely friendly. Much more than expected.

Stayed here recently as part of a girlie weekend and we were sorely disappointed. Usually booking with a premier inn gives you peace of mind but the Newcastle Central is by far one of the worst ones I've stayed in. The room was in appauling condition with frayed carpets and the bathroom had quite a few cracked tiles - even a couple of tiles missing altogether! The night went down hill as we were then kept awake by a number of noisy guests and by the incredible volume from outside of the hotel. We asked about the good night guarantee and were told stag and hen groups are segregated on other floors from other guests to minimise noise but that, being city centre and next to a massive night club, there was still considerable external noise. The staff were the only saving grace as they gave us both a warm welcome and agreed that noise is often an issue due to the large numbers of stag and hen groups whilst refunding our money for the night. Left early, both tired and feeling like we needed to wash after a shower with barely any water pressure. Such a shame.

Hi, we were originally booked into another hotel when were relocated to the premier Inn for a lads stag weekend. They seem to keep the higher levels exclusively for stag and hen parties and I genuinely believe the accommodation is two tier, nice rooms for families, battery cages for stag do's. The hotel it's self is sandwiched between a busy nightclub and a busy motorway like junction, we heard noise from a majority of our rooms and can only say I've never seen tinier paid accommodation in all my life. Literally we had a single bed, bedside cabinet then a single bed between the two walls. My bathroom was horrendous with the towel warmer in none operation, soap dispenser broken, sink cracked and refilled. It just wasn't clean or inviting with silicone pretty much covering most issues they've tried to address. The worst part is the water pressure for the toilet and showers, literally I could have stood there for 10minutes while it re-filled to flush again before waste actually wanted to depart the room on the third or fourth flush...and i thought it was something maybe unnatural about me! Was a similar story with the other guys to our amusement. The Bar and restaurant were fine for service and the food was actually very good, its just the physical assets that let them down for the rooms. I would not return for a stay believing nicer accommodation exists for what we paid! If I literally just wanted to dose somewhere then it would do for £25, but I'm not recommending it.

Room Tip: Check your air conditioner unit works and isn't noisy, we didn't discover till we needed to...

Stayed here overnight while on business trip, found the front desk staff to be welcoming and helpful, the rooms were basic but extremely comfortable, the breakfast in the morning was what you would expect from a buffet breakfast and the concierge seated you when you arrived, a good hotel for a couple of nights stay

Average - Ok for a Lads Weekend Away

By premier inn standards, I would say this hotel feels older than others I have stayed in.

It should be noted this hotel tends to have a lot of Stag, Hen / groups staying here both times I have been. (we chose this hotel on this basis.)

There's a nightclub directly across from the hotel so expect noise if you are staying in a facing room on a weekend.

Hotel has a late night bar.

Overall, Ok hotel for a lads / group weekend, this is not a hotel I would personally visit if traveling with my own family though.

It is what it is kind of thing, nothing wrong with the service or staff, just be aware.

Thanks

Room Tip: Rear facing away from nightclub.

Typical good Premier Inn standards and is in a good location.

Staff were a bit of a pain sometimes but I can understand their frustrations having to deal with big groups all the time.

Overall a reasonable stay.
