“Good and Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Good room in the very lively enviroment. The service from the staff is excellent. The night life is very lively. The price might be much but it is definitely worth it somehow.Would not mind visiting there again.

We stayed here for one night while attending a gig at the o2 Academy.
No free parking but you park in the multistory next door and get a pass from reception which costs £6 per day which I thought was OK seeing as it was just for one night.
The lady at check in was very friendly and helpful and gave us all the info we required.
Our room was bright and airy and the bed was huge and comfy.
I would say the bathroom was a little dated but very clean which is all you need really.
We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was OK - average pub grub but tasty enough.
Again the bar and restaurant staff were all bright and bubbly.
Plenty to choose from at breakfast so all was good there.
Would stay here again if visiting Newcastle as it is so central and easy to get to places and if you book early you can get a really cheap deal.

Stayed here for one night break, very good location seconds from the shops and bars. A slightly older premier inn but the quality of the beds etc is still very good. All the staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the hotel in the evening and the food was good. would def stay here again.

This was our first stay in a premier inn, and we was quite impressed. To start with, the location is a couple of minutes from town centre, and the room was a nice size for the two of us. We ordered the breakfast during our stay and we could eat as much as we liked, there was a large selection of food to choose from. The thing that impressed us the most with our stay was the staff! When we arrived, we was greeted with a warm welcome, they was very friendly. Because this as our first time in newcastle, we asked the bar staff where the best bars are, and they were extremely helpful and easy to tak to. The staff at breakfast also greeted you with a warm welcome and was always there if you needed anything. The only downside to our stay was the location of our room, we was situated at the front and unfortunately there's a nightclub opposite. Because it was Easter weekend, the nightclub was noisy every night. Overall, because of the staff, the food, and the room, we wold definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Just make sure you get a room NOT facing the from of the hotel.

Visited the hotel as I was working in Premier Inn over Easter. ALL the staff were so happy and helpful. Nothing seemed to much trouble. Always cheerful and happy, on reception and in the restaurant.

Couldn't fault it.

Well done.

Lovely staff, lovely breakfast, lovely bed,but oh,the noise from the nightclub below!! Didn't get to sleep till 5.00 am,but the cost of our stay was immediately refunded,no questions asked and the really nice chap on reception advised that next time,I should ask for a room on the far side of the hotel, away from the club!Oh well,no harm done, and I would go back. It's only a 5 minute walk away from Newcastle City Hall which is a brilliant and intimate concert venue.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the far side of the hotel, away from the nightclub !.

You know where you are with these Premier Inns. If you are elderly, this one is good for several reasons. Of course the rooms are comfortable and well equipped; you expect that. The resturant and bars are excellent well-appointed places too.
Its location is perfect for visiting Newcastle. It's at the same level as the greater part of the town with all the important attractions, shopping centres, theatres, galleries, museums and restaurants within easy walking distance. You must visit the quayside while you're there to see the extraordinary array of bridges and the amazing buildings and galleries etc. To do that you can take the special quayside buses that are nearby. And there are two Metro stations within ten minutes stroll, from which, in hardly half an hour, you can spend a bracing sea-air experience in Tynemouth, Cullercoats ( our favourite ) or Whitley Bay.

We have stayed here before. The staff are splendidly professional but offer such friendliness and genuine attention. You know you'll want to come back.

Room Tip: Higher the better at the back of the house, that's the quieter side, especially at the weekends...
