“Avoid at all costs”

We booked here for 2 nights as we have stayed here before because the service was great, friendly staff and beautiful breakfasts. This time when we stayed, 1st night the fire alarm went off and was stood out on the street, least they got the fire drill right, shame it was 5am..!!!! Then the 2nd night, after having a great night out in Newcastle, we went back to our room, chilled and watched some tv. We did fall asleep with the tv on but next thing I know in the middle of the night, I heard a banging sound, only to find that one of the night staff breaking into our room using a claw hammer..!!!!
I can't express how scared this made me feel. I managed to speak to this so called member of night staff only to be told they had a complaint that our tv was too loud, my husbands snoring was louder...!!!!!!
They managed to break the door frame and the chain lock..!!!! After that ordeal I never got back to sleep..!!!!
We did get our money back but that wasn't the point, it's all about privacy and not scaring your guests half to death..!!!!!!!

We will not back. Please note people, any slight noise they will break into your room..!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mum & I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in Sept 2012.
It was very central to shops, 5min walk to Eldon Square.
Hotel was 100% great, rooms spotless, beds so comfortable, room was warm & cosy.
Staff were very nice & extemely helpfull. They couldn't do enought for us, they even rang taxis & takeaways for us!
Cleaner was so friendly & done a great job.
would recomend this hotel to anyone & would go back anytime.

The service here was fantastic, we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was warm and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help us. The central location was so handy for shopping and not too far from the railway station. It was our first trip to Newcastle but it definately won`t be our last.

We stayed here for one night in December. Room was great, flat screen tv, big comfy bed with two types of pillows, bathroom good and no noise from outside. Check in was quick and easy, as was check out. Carpark (adjoining the hotel) was great with a connecting door into reception. Parking free overnight and only £6 for the next day (buy from reception when you arrive). The best thing about the hotel is the location. 5 minute walk from the city centre. Will definitely be staying here on future visits to Newcastle.

This hotel is in a prime position for using the city for its full potential. The parking facilities are spacious and safe, and also free. The rooms are accomodating and the bar is reasonably priced. I have no negative things to say about the hotel, except perhaps the walls are quite thin so you hear a lot of surrounding rooms, however- the good night guarantee promises to deal with all issues you may have.

Stayed here on new years eve as we didn't want to have to worry about getting home after our night out. Excellent hotel, staff were great room was spotless and the breakfast was good. The only downside was the noise from the club nextdoor, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if you stayed at the back of the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the Christmas break while visiting family. Everything was to the usual good standard that we expect from Premier Inn. Very comfortable bed - we had an excellent night's sleep - with a decent sized bathroom and a great view of Newcastle from the third floor bedroom window. The staff, as usual at Premier, were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Would have preferred to be able to select "continental breakfast" as we were able to do previously at Premier hotels, but now there just seems to be one price. Would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Newcastle.
