“Great hotel in good location”

This is a great hotel if your going to St James Park for a match. Straightforward walk to the town centre / ground. Close to the bars and restaurants in Osbourn Rd.

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was well equipped with a little fridge and safe. The only downside (for my husband) was there wasn't a bath, but the shower was fab.

Would recommend this hotel.

I chose this hotel because it is so close to the city centre. Upon entering the reception I was greeted with a friendly smile and proffesional manner. I was also pleased with the condition of my room, it was clean and welcoming. I would definitely choose this hotel again based on the service and standards alone but being 10 mins walk from the city centre is a big plus. You also have the metro nearby.

I travel a lot from the uk to around the world and I must say this Hotel is excellent the staff are warm and friendly I recieved a lovely welcome from the Reception team which made me feel very welcome from the start. The rooms are clean and very modern finished to a high standard the Restaurant serves great food and the Bar does some yummy cocktails which are great vale, the Hotel is situated in a great location only 10 mins by foot into town and a 10 min walk to Jesmond, I would reccomend anyone to stay here as your made to feel very welcome from the moment you step in the door, Check out was great to by the reception team it was early morning but the girl that checked me in a few nights before checked me out and was still happy and bubbly at 7am in the morning which I thought was great great sense of humour.

If you like red and green striped carpets, and lots of brown wavy lines this hotel is for you. The hotel is recently refurbished after a fire, and appears to be designed for a bachelor , or male executive. Rooms in red, green and desk tops in shiny black with sparkling flecks. TV on wall for bed viewing, sockets for "audio", "HDMI" on the wall for your use and a high tech shower. Takes a frustrating time to turn the TV and to turn the correct shower on (the higher and not the lower one) - it assumes you are a 16 year teenager used to gizmos, as no instructions. Bedrooms cramped but OK. Clean and tidy. Food was fine, breakfast OK, wi-fi was good. Bedroom cold until I worked out how to change the temp on the air conditioning.

Stayed two nights for business. Walking distance to the metro.

OK but nothing special. No complaints. I did not pay so not sure of the price. Had the feel of a very basic hotel.

Great location with plenty of free parking. Taxi to city is a fiver. Very quiet location. Rooms spotless with hot drinks tray and free juice biscuits and chilled water fridge in room too. Only down side was reception staff very disinterested except for male staff who were more attentive than women. Lack of vending machine meant a trip a mile up the road for some snacks. Tip. Use the in room fridge and take your own soft drinks

We appreciate all of the feedback our guests provide us with and are pleased that most elements of your stay were positive. All the staff at the hotel trulely beleive in a great hotel that guests love and I am dissapointed to here that reception did not offer the best service.

I will be looking into this with immediate effect and provide further training where neccessary.

We do offer 24 hour room service if you were looking for a light snack, also our Terrace Bar offers a wide selection of Nuts, Crackers and a smaller selection of nibbles.

We really look forward in welcoming you to Holiday Inn Newcastle-Jesmond in the near future.

As a regular stayer at this hotel when in Newcastle on business I have always found it up to a good standard. Just stopped here for 3 nights and was suprised to find the standard is now even better. The staff are very attentive, rooms nice and clean and food well up to the standard you get at hotels of this price range. In my opinion this is one of the best Holiday Inns I have stayed at.

Stayed here for one night last week. The warm welcome was great, nothing seemed too much trouble. The room was lovely, spacious and moden decor. The shower was one of the best i have had in a hotel. As for the noise we had a back room and had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was great also, fantastic selection.

All the staff I came accross were polite and all had a smile. I think it must be a Newcastle thing because I never came across one grumpy person in Newcastle.

Will definately be staying here again.
