“Poor service!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Food was great but the service was not all that great, had to keep going up to the counter to ask for the rest of our order... Shame as this really let's the place down. Great food though!

“Better than the normal chains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

I had a very nice sandwich here one lunch break, no complaints at all really and they have a huge selection. Pretty pricey for a sandwich and a coffee in my opinion but the quality and service was good.

“Great little gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

This place is great, a really big selection of sandwiches/pannins and cakes, there is definitely a baguette on the menu for everyone. Been there twice and not had a bad experience, definitely recommend the 'Half & Half' where you get a cup of lovely soup with half a baguette (I usually go for the chicken and chutney!) all for around £5! Coffee is lovely and just as good if not better than Starbucks and Costa. Lots of choice of cake and biscuity things such as Tiffin. Staff really nice, good all rounder.
Only problem is that it can be quite busy, this doesn't seem to affect the service but it can be hit and miss on whether you can find a table. Luckily both times I've been I've managed to get a table (first time with a friend, second time with my family of 5), but other than that cannot fault this place. Well worth a visit if you're in Newcastle city centre.

“Great spot for Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Visited for the first time for a light lunch with my wife. The premises are very clean, tables were clean and the restaurant not to crowded. The menu consists of various sandwiches, teas & coffee.
we both had the soup & sandwich lunch special, the soup was freshly made on the premises, smokey bacon with mushrooms coupled with a beef/salad sandwich in a 1/2 baguett, all followed by a a flat white coffee which was one of the best I have had. toatl bill for 2 was a little over 15 pounds but for two in the city centre not bad. Highly recommended we will return.
