“If you're not fussy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

If you're not fussy stay here. Myself and 3 mates stayed here and were delighted with the place, mainly because it was £50 each for 2 nights. We found the staff friendly, the breakfast was great (coffee was superb), beds comfortable, carpet clean and no smells from next door (see someone else's review). We will stay again

Stayed here for 2 nights and not one problem. Fair enough you could smell the restaurant next door at points but for £20 a night I couldn't complain.Breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly. The toilet paper and towels were to a good standard and there was free internet access which was great! And a bus stop 2 minute walk and an asda 5 minutes(if that) away which was great for a few little things. Another great thing was the fact the TV had a DVD player built in.

Rank musty smell throughout the building. The building is dark, creaking and run down ,More hostel than hotel. The room wasn't too bad but smell and noise was so off putting i couldnt wait to leave.I didn't bother with the breakfast so I can't comment. I booked and paid for 2 nights but after 1 night I left and
checked into the premier inn!
Perhaps ok for stag nights or construction workers but I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

Bentley's Hotel has a brilliant, all be it, slightly small coffee shop that is ideal if you want a nice cup of coffee or decent food at reasonable prices. The coffee shop itself is small but cozy and open to both guests and members of the public. There is a flat screen TV on the wall so you can catch up with the news whilst tucking in to a bacon butty or watch 'Doctors' whilst discussing the troubles of the day at work. Food and drink is freshly prepared and very reasonable. You can get coffee and a slice of cake for £1.99, a chip butty for around £1.50 and they do a range of paninis, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and breakfast food. This is an ideal place to nip in if you are at the bowling alley (next door) or just venturing out of town.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The first thing I noticed was the disgusting stench of mothballs when I walked into my tiny room. The (communal) showers and toilets were disgusting. The only thing this place has going for it is its price range. Stay away!!

the hotel was terrible it was like a hostel rather than a hotel it was dirty noisy and would not cater for what we asked for we had no kettle and cups or tea and coffee in the bedrooms we asked for a double room and got three singles my daughters room was like a box and the smell in the bathroom was like sewage coming up the sink when you let the water run we kept awake with the other guests at 12 am 2am and 5am shouting and running up the coriders went down stairs to speak to the manager about to book for a early breakfast cause we had a early train but he was not there we could only find the security guard sleeping on the sofa in the dinning room and would not wake up when he did wake up he put it in the diary but we did not get a breakfast because he did not start cooking until 8am so we just got cereal and tea and when we were waiting on the taxi in the lounge the was a mask sitting on the table that people would wear for bondage sexual actions so it was not a three star hotel at all more like a one star

Myself and a friend stayed here for one night. We checked in with a woman who said little, didn't crack a smile and made us feel we were a massive inconvinience to her. One of the little things she did tell us was that breakfast is served until 10am. After quickly throwing our bags in the room we headed out straight away without really checking the room and on our return later that night (around 10.30pm) on closer inspection the room was horrible. Numerous stains on the quilts, THREE long black hairs IN the bed. Evidently the room had not been cleaned properly or even had the beds changed! When we tried to find someone for new sheets, no one was to be found therefore we spent the night sleeping on our towels with no duvet.

In the morning, we went down for breakfast just after 9am. No one was there to seat us so after looking around confused for a while finally a very unfriendly man with a scruffy 'bentleys' jumper appeared and we asked where we got breakfast. Blunt answer he said 'its finished' we replied saying we didn't understand as we were told it was served until 10. He said it was infact until 9am and refused to serve us bearing in mind it was only 9.10am at this point!!?? We were utterly shocked.

No one was at reception to complain to when we checked out. We had to go to a cafe to eat breakfast which obviously bumped up the price of our stay by £15. For the price, I would say pay the extra 20 to stay in a premiere inn!

Absolutely disgusting hotel, disgusting service, disgusting people with no idea of the meaning of customer service!
