“Lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

I stayed here on Thurs night with my two children in a standard double room. The room was lovely, the double bed was the biggest bed Ive ever seen, we could of easily all fit in this without the additional single bed I requested for my son.
The bathroom was modern and spotless, the only fault was of my own personal choice of I would of prefered a bath to shower.
The meal in the restaurant in the hotel was nice, the childrens meals particularly was very good value - again the only tiny niggle been it took half an hour for the starters to arrive which can become irriatating when sat with two hungry children.
We didnt have breakfast on the morn as after reading previous reviews I was slightly put off, I did ask at reception if the new menu was operating yet and I was told no so I decided to eat at the metro centre instead.
Overall a lovely stay and would definately return, a special mention to the gentleman who works on reception whose name I didnt catch. He was more than helpful and went out of his way to assist me from asking for an extra bed for my son orginally to directing me to the metro centre, little things that like make an overnight stay that bit better : )

“lovely hotel and restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We had a delightful weekend, the accomodation was excellent and the restaurant superb. We were a bit worried about some of the negative reviews regarding breakfast, but we need not have been concerned, it was first class. Perfect poached eggs and really well seasoned mushrooms - didn't miss bacon and sausage at all. And the curry we had in the evening was fabulous - worth a return trip to Newcastle just to have another.

Room Tip: Our room was fine despite overlooking the carpark. There's a fairly busy road nearby but the roo...

“Great place for a short stay.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Just back from an overnight stay and have to say it was great, it's a small hotel but absoulety spotless. We were over for the Newcastle v West Ham game it's only 10mim walk to St James Park and city centre which was spot on, the food in the restaurant was out of this world if you like your Indian grub! Chicken tikka madras was amazing :) they also do Italian food. So overall great stay would defo stay again.

“Good value stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012 via mobile

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a football weekend for my husband's birthday, but wanted to avoid some of the truly budget chains.

The hotel is close enough to St James's Park and the city centre that we were able to walk to both quite comfortably.

We did experience some problems with noise on the first night of our stay, but this was not the fault of the hotel - other guests drunken antics cannot always be avoided. That said, when we told the receptionist what had happened, we were moved to an upgraded room for the second night of our stay.

LuigiKhans is a really lovely place to eat and definitely worth booking a table if you have no existing plans. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the restaurant is decorated nicely.
