I visited this hotel with my girlfriend and was very pleased with the service that we received . The room was very nice . The breakfast service was excellent and the area itself is just wonderful. Nothing could've made our stay better .

The rooms on the front of the hotel overlook the busy A31. And, they spotlight the front if the building and don't have blackout curtains on the windows. With a lorry or car passing every 3-4 minutes all through the night, the comfortable, clean rooms were no panacea for an otherwise sleepless night. The situation only gets worse closer to the morning commute. They do have rooms at the back of the building so if you have to stay here, I'd recommend requesting something as far away from the front of the building as possible. Given that breakfast is not included in the price, I generally don't think this place is good value.

Dear Guest,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to write a review based on your recent stay with us.

We are truly surprised and thoroughly disappointed that you have given us a one star rating. We acknowledge and accept that we have a few rooms that face the main road and despite them having high quality double glazing there is inevitably going to be some noise.

It is a shame that you did not mention at the time of booking or check in that you are very sensitive to noise and we would have endeavoured to move you to another room if at all possible. As you can appreciate a geographical location of hotel rooms is beyond one’s control however what is of utmost importance is listening to our guests’ needs and finding the best possible solutions to enhance their overall hotel experience.

Upon check out as a matter of principle we always ask our departing guests how their stay was. It is very fortunate that we asked for your feedback as nothing was offered by you regarding your very strong views of the front facing room. Upon hearing your feedback, we reacted instantaneously by apologizing profusely and keeping true to our very high standards of customer service, we handled it generously.

We at Asperion take guest services and satisfaction very seriously which is the reason why Asperion has been ranked Number 1 on Tripadvisor for 11 years (since inception). Our guests have recognized our passion and immense dedication to hospitality as well as our genuine concern for their needs. Thus, 93 percent of guests who have stayed with us have rated Asperion as Excellent.

Thank you for your feedback and should your travels bring you back to Guildford, we do hope you can give us another chance and experience Asperion again.

Best wishes,
Manny

A comfortable and spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of car parking space though I imagine that if the other guests hadn't mostly been cyclists then things might have been different. We thought that the room we had was a little tight - (No.1) as there was no room to put the cases while unpacking and only one chair. With the exception of the fridge which is noisy all the other facilities were fine. In my opinion the 'simplicity' had been overdone as the effect was that the room was very bland. The hotel is very convenient being a short step from the railway station and the centre of Guildford. Breakfast was freshly cooked with an ample selection of juices and fruit and good coffee.

Room Tip: If you are staying for more than a night or two and you have a lot of luggage I suggest you ask for...

Dear Guest:

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your experience at Asperion.

I am delighted that you found your room and bathroom spotlessly clean. We take great pride in providing a top class and super clean hospitality experience.Thank you for your lovely comments about our fresh prepared cooked to order breakfast and coffee– you are right, it is truly very fresh and we offer ample selection of juices and fruit. I am also glad that you appreciated our convenient location, which is within walking distance of the railway station and that we have plenty car parking spaces.

We are sorry to hear that you were not as satisfied with your room due to not enough space for luggage. As you know and you also mentioned in your comment, our hotel has different rooms with different sizes and rates. We always try to accommodate the guests in the most spacious rooms, but unfortunately this is not always possible, due to our high occupancy rates. Thank you for your comments about the fridges in the rooms. We are sorry to hear that you found your fridge a bit noisy and we will look into the matter.

We look forward to welcoming you back at the Asperion and hopefully see you in the near future.

Best wishes
Andrea

My wife and I are from the USA. I was attending a conference and located this hotel online. Andrea and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They called a cab for us when we found ourselves lost after arriving by Coach from Heathrow. My wife told me that she had not slept better in years because of the comfortable beds. The city centre is also in walking distance.

I stayed here for one night after a wedding. The owner and staff were really friendly. All the food is organic and yummy. It was nice to eat a (relatively) guild-free cooked breakfast! The energy is from green suppliers which I thought was super. I had a small single en-suite. It is small but it is very well laid out so they fit a lot in. The bed was very comfy. I would definitely stay here again and I'd recommend it.

We stayed for one night so we could see some sights in Guildford. Really lovely and comfortable room. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel and all organic produce. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We had the superior king size room which was away from the road so nice and quiet.
