“Good modern hotel, well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Recently opened and is located at the top of the High Street where the Guildford Hotel used to be. Rooms are of a decent size and there is a good range of TV channels. Tea and coffee making facilities ok ( no earl grey, no biscuit). Ice making machine on each floor ( well, certainly on the first). Free wifi in rooms work fine. The free library in reception is a nice touch.

If you want a convenient hotel it is great but don't expect character

Dear Marcus,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor and for choosing the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Guildford for your recent visit to the area.

I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have other tea types available for our guests on a guest request basis and the ice machines are located on all our floors. I am sorry to hear you felt the hotel lacked character, we are always improving the look and feel of the hotel and hope that should you return you will see a difference.

I hope to welcome you back on a future visit.

The raddison blu hotel in Guilford is a beautiful modern hotel . Rooms are really clean and a good size ,although in the middle of guilford it's really quiet . In easy walking distance to a lovely high street full of shops and resurants . I would highly recommend this hotel ,food and service was fantastic . We will be staying there again .

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room !

Being an avid traveller for both business and pleasure domestically & internationally, our recent stay at the Radisson Blu in Guildford was one in the top ten for hotel stays in the UK.

The hotel itself is modern, well designed and the staff service exceptional. You are made to feel at home away from home. Smiles all round and a great hotel for location too (CAU restaurant just up the road from the hotel). Parking is available too and very convenient.

Would I stay here again? Most definitely. You cannot beat staff (Tom at reception) with high standards of professionalism and service, great food, wonderful rooms and perfect location.

Thank you to all the staff at the Radisson Blu in Guildford. Look forward to seeing you sometime again in the very near future.

Mr. H. Gill

Room Tip: Business Room upgrade is a must.

I stay in a lot of hotels all over the UK and this is the first time I've felt a hotel justified a review. The place was extremely modern, clean and in an excellent location. Plenty of parking underground. The room was like it had never been used before; immaculate and very stylish. A decent bar. Breakfast was good too.
Would definitely stay here again

Customer service was excellent, the hotel was spotless and our room was very comfortable. The car park is under the hotel and accessible once you have checked in, be aware that it is £10 per day which we were not told and the public carpark next door was only £1 for a stay between 6pm - 10pm and then free until 8am so I was a bit annoyed that I moved the car only to find out when we checked out that I could have saved £9.

Room Tip: Our view was of the wheely bins at the back so I would ask the hotel for a view if you want one, we...

Nice hotel, staff very attentive, modern facilities etc.Being critical, the room lighting is quite dim, especially in the toilets. It's the low energy bulbs being used and they take time to warm up so you tend to leave them on which defeats the purpose!
Hotel is in excellent location for Guilford town centre, 10-15 minute walk to the trains station and a short walk/run to the Pewley Downs and surrounding trails.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up tend to get a better mobile signal than the 1st floor rooms as it's quite built...

Dear Simon,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on Trip Advisor and for staying with us at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Guildford.

I am sorry to hear the lighting was not bright enough in your bathroom. We have recently completed the replacing of the bedroom light bulbs for brighter ones and are currently looking into the bathrooms also.
