I booked this Hotel on Laterooms, the room I was given as was as expected, there cheaper end, however the room was pleasant enough & was well maintained, the bathroom silicon however could do with being replaced.
My main complaints about the room was the TV it was a dinosaur & had only about 6 channels working which for a 4 star in this day and age is unacceptable, the bathroom was dated, but clean.
I arrived late and was greeted by a very pleasant girl on the check in desk who was quick and efficient without rushing.
After going to my room I went to the bar and ordered some ham sandwiches, they were perhaps the most uninspiring sandwiches I have ever seen, if Carlsberg did sandwiches they wouldn’t do these.
After a good night’s sleep I went down for breakfast, the cold buffet was rather disappointing, the fresh fruit was terrible, & the cooked menu I felt limited, again for a 4 star I feel it was slightly short of the mark.
The hotel its self is stunning and most definitely worth a visit to see the grand architecture and take in the atmosphere.
I would stay again as I felt I got value for money however I do feel there are a few things that need attention
I can only assume to get a good room you have to pay the high rates

Naturally, I was delighted to hear that you were suitably impressed with the venues stunning location and grounds we have to offer. I was however, disappointed to read that you experienced a few shortcomings on your recent visit to the Hotel.
We do always aim to exceed our guests expectations and I can only apologise if you felt this was not the case, please rest assured that we do value your constructive comments and I am delighted to inform you that we have started renovation works on a selection of bedrooms, I do hope that you will visit the Hotel in the near future to sample this.
We have of course taken on board your comments regarding the TV's and also the selection of channels and we are in the process of replacing these for new across the remainder of the bedrooms.
Your feedback on sandwich quality and cold breakfast offering has also been passed onto our Executive Chef for review with his team.
