“A lovely day but the small animal handling and goat milking were not at the time stated”
I visited the farm with my sister in law and her daughter, 2 and my son who was 1. I have to say, I was very impressed with the farm and what there was to do. My son, thoroughly enjoyed himself, especially the yellow slide outside. He loved the opportunity to feed the animals. There were plenty of washing facilities available.
The food in the cafe was good. However, it was very busy in there and we were given directions to another room but the directions we were given were not correct. We ended up where we started as a table became available.
We planned our day to ensure we did everything we wanted to. I have say, a particular highlight of the day was the pig racing. Absolutely hilarious!
However, it was disappointing that we turned up for the goat milking but the member of staff didn't. We waited around in the small animal handling area as this was meant to happen just after but still no staff. Ten minutes after the small animal handling was due to start, another visitor spoke to a member of staff. They were unaware of why it did not happen and so contacted the relevant person. All we heard was "if you were going to be late, you should have said". We were apologised to but we did feel we had wasted some of the day waiting.
I do think that, bearing in mind the price you pay, tractor and pony rides should be included. At £9 for an adult, entry is not cheap and this would make the day seem better value.
