“Good beer and pleasant food at this old town pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

This was our second experience of the King's Head - and just as nice as the first. We just stopped for a drink the first time (last year), but had a meal and a drink on this visit. Grilled tiger prawns and Adnam's Broadside all round. The food and beer were excellent. The pub has a moderately basic menu, but none the worse for that. The bar staff were efficient and friendly, we had a good table, and - all in all - a very pleasant visit to a good, old town pub.

“Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We visited Woodbridge and wanted to stop for a roast meal on a Sunday and asked a local for a recommendation. We are glad we did because this Pub was excellent. Old, with beams and loads of atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the chef made a point of coming across and asking us if everything was alright. All home cooked with 4 different veg and yorkshire pudding with the Beef and the Lamb we were not disappointed. The menu was extensive and there is a restaurant at the back.

“Sausages and a fire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

I went to the King’s Head because the hotel said it was the only place where I could get supper on a Sunday evening, and I liked it. Good beer (Adnam’s, I seem to remember), decent food (I had sausages and mash - the sausages were local), and a smiling young waitress. The wood fire was very welcome on a cold, wet December night, too.

The pub’s in the top corner of the square near the entrance to St Mary’s - of the loveliest churches in East Anglia - which makes it a convenient place to hang about for a few minutes before you go to a carol service, say, or to have a drink in afterwards.
