I've been meaning to write this since our stay in September. We were visiting relatives in the area and were thrilled to have such a lovely base to go back to. Everything has been said about the breakfast but the hospitality and friendliness is just lovely. We arrived in the most awful rain, after travelling for over 9 hours through terrible traffic. We were just too tired to try to find anywhere to eat so Leah insisted on bringing us some wonderfl chocolate brownies she'd made that afternoon! The room was warm and welcoming and we had a great sleep in the comfy bed! We were so busy that we totally forgot to pick up any cash to pay on the last day but thought we'd be able to use PayPal or card. Of course we should have realised that this wouldn't be a good idea for such a small business! Anyway, we dashed off to get some cash, popped back and gave it to Julian, who was working in the garden. Unfortunately I short-changed him by £5 and didn't realise until we'd set off again. Julian is such a lovely chap, he was really understanding and was happy to wait until we got home, when I sent it on to him. I'm rambling on about all this just as a reminder that cash is needed when you check out. Anyway, we'll definitely stay again - it was a real treat and very very good value!!
