Have just spent a night at the "Bull". An amazing hotel, full of character and history, which is obviously loved by those who work there. My friend and I shared a twin room, which was spacious and comfortable. Although the decor was a little dated it was clean, as was the on suite bathroom, with very powerful shower over the bath. Nice to have a magnifying mirror supplied. One bedroom window had a note on not to open, due to the age of the hotel it was obviousit would need a specialist for repairs, but it was not a problem for us.The room was supplied with a mini "picnic" basket containing sugar, coffee, hotchoc and biscuits, with kettle and teapot also provided. Ironing board and iron in the wardrobe, hairdryer, tv and stereo radio. Also free Wifi throughout the hotel. The staff are friendly, courteous, efficient and extremely helpful. We had an enjoyable tasty evening meal, and a breakfast with a good choice of fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, cereal, croissants etc. served buffet style followed by a choice of cooked food from traditional English to omelettes and kippers etc plus toast cooked to order.
Would happily go back for another stay.
Our room faced the inner courtyard, overlooking the car park . No night time noise at all, good...
