We were a group of six, including two children. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. The decor is very nice and the property is well maintained. Our seating included some plastic bistro chairs which I felt didn't quite work with the overall decor although they were reasonably comfy. Mostly the service was very good and the staff were obviously well trained, polite and obliging. We had to ask a couple of times for more water rather than being offered.
The menu provided a decent selection although there were no non-menu specials. All of our food was very lovely and nicely presented. The children's menu had been designed by a local school and clearly this is a child friendly restaurant.
One minor grumble with the burger - the burger roll looked like a cheap supermarket burger roll rather than a rustic home baked one which you sometimes see in nicer restaurants.
A good wine selection and prices were quite reasonable. We had a lovely Sancerre and Australian Shiraz.
We would return and overall a very good meal with above average service and food.
