Had to stay one night on a business trip to Ickworth House. I am sure there are hotels which are closer to Bury and Ickworth, but few are likely to be as good as this one. The service was 6 star, Michael came to the car to help with my bags (the same when I left). The room was excellent, easily as good as some 5 star hotels which I have used around the world, and the service was extremely personalised and second to none. Will definietly use again.

We spent four nights with Christine and Michael in September. Everything was superb: Beautiful 3 acre garden with ponds and flowers in rural setting, extremely pleasant hosts, good breakfasts, not far to pubs for dinner, easy access to Bury St. Edmunds. Not far from lovely Lavenham. We had the nice sized ground floor Red Room with private entry glass doors looking out to the garden. Very comfortable bed, big closet with shelves, 2 person sofa, carpeted throughout. Modern bathroom with small but efficient shower. Adjacent to the very warm and comfortable lounge room.

There is another ground floor room wich we didn't see but it does not have the garden view. There are also an upstairs double room and a single room upstairs but we suggest asking for the Red Room.

We only stayed one night but we can't wait to go back again. The welcome from Christine and Michael was very warm and we really appreciated the tea and scones!! Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked the garden, with patio doors.. The bed was extremely comfortable and we also had a comfortable settee to sit and watch dvds or tv, although we didn't have time !! The breakfast was wonderful too, with "specials of the day". All in all our short stay was a great success!!

Room Tip: The red room on the ground floor was extremely comfortable but all rooms are quiet and beautifully f...

I had booked to visit Drinkstone Park B&B but had to cancel at very short notice. I had booked via Booking.com and their website advised I would lose the full amount of the booking, £80. However, Michael at Drinkstone went out of his way to ensure I would be refunded, even calling up Booking.com on my behalf. Thanks to his efforts I am not being charged! Even though I have not yet stayed at this B&B I wanted to say a big thankyou to the owners and to say how happy I was with their consideration of my circumstances, which I feel sure many places would not have had. I will have no hesitation in rebooking to visit them another time.

We selected this B&B based on the excellent Trip Advisor reviews, spent a single night here and have to say the service was faultless, the room very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. What more do you want from a B&B? Well perhaps great views and a lovely garden, Drinkstone Park has those too.

My partner and i recently spent a long weekend here after reading such amazing reviews. As expected the whole weekend was nothing less than perfection. The B&B itself it situated in such lovely grounds, beautiful views and scenery in all directions. Our room itself was on the groundfloor with patio doors leading straight into the garden and small patio area. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipt and we instantly felt right at home. Christine and Michael were lovely hosts and it is really touching to be able to see just how much care and attention to detail they put into every aspect of thier B&B. The bed was huge and hands down best nights sleep i have EVER had. Breakfast was simply amazing, nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed chatting with the other guests around the large breakfast table. We are already planning a return visit and cant wait to experince a little bit of luxury again.

From the minute we arrived we were made to welcome. Christine greeted us warmly and showed us around. Nothing was too much trouble for either Christine or Michael. The breakfasts were delicious, as were the scones, jam & cream which were served each afternoon in the sitting room in front of the cosy fire. Michael was very helpful with his great suggestions for sightseeing and the maps to make sure we didn't get lost ! Our room was just beautiful, big comfy bed, fluffy towels, great selection of tea & coffee. The attention to detail was amazing. However, I think the best thing about Drinkstone Park was the friendship shown to us by Christine & Michael. This is by far the best B & B we have ever stayed in. Thank you both for making our stay so wonderful.
