“Proper Pub.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2012

The Mill Inn has the most realistic gas 'log effect' fire I have ever seen. Visible form the beach it enticed us it very quickly on a cold Saturday afternoon. It is a proper old fashioned pub and serves a damn good pint of Adnams. They also had a bottle of Pussers Rum behind the bar and sold me a shot for £3.20. This is good value. At 109 Proof it is not a rum for the faint hearted!!

“Warm and cosy welcome.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

A pub full of character, and a warm welcome from the staff. A nice warm fire just adds to the feel of the place on a cold January day.

“Quirky and characteristic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2011

A delightful quirky place to spend the night. I felt like I was stepping back to the 70's - 80's with the slap dash furnishings and decor, bit grubby in places but it made us laugh. Sink in the room and having to share a bathroom, which luckily they only had 2 other guests at the time. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and tasty, and had some choice too. The pub itself was nice, old fashioned style pub which served good food. And the bonus they allowed dogs to stay. The staff were all very friendly and chirpy, except the cleaner I dont think she knew how to smile. Anyway great little characteristic place to stay, one night would do though.

“Lovely sandwiches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

I had lunch here two days running, just sandwiches but I thought the prawn sandwich on the first day was so enjoyable, I returned. When I asked for cucumber to go with my cheese sandwich I was told I could have anything I liked with it. The plate comes with salad and a little pot of coleslaw, for £5.95. There is a room separate from the bar for other meals. Not a large place but service is very pleasant and there is a cosy feel to the place.
