We were looking for a boutique bed and breakfast which was close to Alton Towers as were were watching the fireworks there.
I had already warned Wendy, the owner, that we would be late and this didn't seem to be a concern. We finally rocked up at half 9 in the evening, cold to the bone and were greeted with a big smile from Robin and Wendy and a coffee/tea tray with freshly made cakes, (I must get those recipes!) to warm our cockles. This was not only unexpected but greatly appreciated. We were shown to our room which i can only stress reflects the title of the location - luxury. As we curled up on our sofa in front of our LCD tv catching up with X Factor on the freeview box, my partner warmed up in the huge, walk in shower then we wrapped up in the big, fluffy, warm bed and had one of the best nights sleep we have had. Breakfast wasn't too early and we found we had plenty of time to sort our bits out before we left.
You can tell a lot of hard work has gone in to the preparation of the room and maintenance of the cleanliness. We has certainly be staying here again when we return to Alton Towers!
