“Nice food, great idea but not the best location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

Lovely food, service was good but a little slow, not much space to take a pushchair or wheelchair, but I guess this cant be helped. The tea was fabulous but the coffee dissapointing (came in a huge pot but only quarter full). To pay by card you have to pay a 50p charge which was unexpected & seemed a little dated. Also it was quite cold, & we had to keep our coats on throughout. Nice to try & there's a lovely tea selection, but not sure we would go back unless it moved to a better location.

“Love love love it. Food is great but make sure you book a table!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

Been here a few times now and everyone who iv introduced it too also love it. We always have the sharing platters with sandwiches, scones and cake. Plus tea of course! Also attended a party here with 6 of us and it was so cheap between us all and we had loads!! They do such unusual combinations aswell if you like peanut butter and choc like me. They handmake most of the stuff and i love it. Alot of care and effort in the decor and food.

“Good Tea Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

This is a fairly traditional Tea Room right in the heart of Hanley town centre. It offers great value for money, the food is good quality too. The staff are friendly, although some are on the timid side. The place is clean, and there are lots of tables in the basement area. I was a little worried about if it was going to be dark, cold and smelly but it was not, it has a warmth to it.

The menu is a little odd, almost too much choice, which is no bad thing but if you're like me and take an age to choose, it can take a while. The coffee is average, but the tea is apparently reasonable. Great to see an good quality independent!

“Lovely tea room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

Popped in here today for the first time for a cuppa and a teacake with my mum on her birthday and am glad to say we really enjoyed it, just wished we'd had more time to stay a bit longer! Will definitely be making a return visit : )
