“moorcroft factory tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

After may attempts at trying to get 2 places on the Moorcroft factory tour we finally succeeded. Boy was it worth the wait. We enjoyed it so much. Corrie ( apologies if I have spelt the name incorrectly) was so friendly, engaging and knowledgable. It was fanatastic to speak to the potters and painters themselves.

The factory shop was a huge bonus and tempted us into buying a piece.

The only down side was that there was no cafe on the premises so if requiring lunch either plan in advance, take sandwiches to eat before or visit the local diner which we did.

Thanks again for a lovely and fascinating tour.

I visited as part of the Collectors Club 25th celebration and loved it all, including the shop and museum.

“The Finest Modern Pottery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

Wonderful pottery, Excellent, friendly, designers & staff. A trip to Moorcroft with, if possible, a factory tour is unmissable for anyone interested in high class pottery.

“Collectors' club 25th anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

Collectors' club events are always special and this one, the 25th anniversary, saw the launch of "The 19", 23 pieces marking the occasion (and commemorating the number of items on an agenda as well as the postion on that agenda of the item to discuss the launch of the club): a wonderful collection of fabulous pieces, brilliantly presented by chairman Hugh Edwards and maqnaging director Eliese Adams. There was plenty of opportunity to shop, talk to Hugh and Maureen, Elise, the designers and all the other lovely people who work here ... and of course the food by "Food for thought" was as delicious as ever. What did I dislike? Well, I suppose a fatter bank balance and bigger house would be nice! And I would like the limited editions to have been not quite as limited (although these will be potentially very profitable for those who manage to purchase any of them with an eye to making money rather than just enjoying their lovely pots).

“A Privilege”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

We visited the Moorcroft outlet shop and the visitor centre and museum. Whilst in the outlet shop, we booked for the factory tour for the afternoon. We spent an hour looking around the visitor centre (which includes the museum which is educational if you are interested in Moorcroft and dating it) but the highlight of the day was the factory tour. The tour was absolutely fabulous and it was a great privilege to see the crafts people and artists at work - they are indeed very talented. Considering how Moorcroft is made and the time spent on each piece by each individual involved in making it, I think Moorcroft is exceptional value for money (it is a shame that I cannot afford to buy several pieces!). Thanks to Dawn our tour guide - great day.
