5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2010

A really nice, traditional style, excellent value B&B. The room was very clean and comfortable, the hospitality was warm, friendly and helpful and I would definately recommend a stay there. We will certainly stay there on our next visit to Stoke.

Booked as the accomm for the night before an Alton Towers trip - and struck gold. The family 'room' was more like a suite with our sons effectively having a room to themselves. Everywhere was beautifully decorated throughout and the new conservatory offered an hour or so of bliss on Sat afternoon - even with our boys! Sunday brekkie was delish - set us up perfectly for a hard day's theme parking! Heartily recommended. (PS - also recommend The Plough for dinner, c1m away.)

I have stayed at the Kenwood twice now and on each occassion found it to be very nicely decorated, very clean and the owners to be extremely friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is always freshly cooked and very nice. The rooms are large and tastefull decorated, with flat screen LCD TVs. There is off road parking, a wonderfull park across the road and plenty of shops nearby. The guest house location is very handy for getting on and off the motorways, in fairly central for the City centre and the council civic buldings.
Having tried a few hotels in the area in the past, I would always try and stay at the Kenwood in the future.

Stayed at the Guest House for a family Birthday Party that night. Walking distance to the station and to the restaurant, where the party was held. Given a warm welcome and were told which room we were in. Very clean room but unfortunately not big enough for a wardrobe, hangers on back of door. Uptodate lovely bathroom, but door was a concertina. Ok if having a shower &/or brushing teeth, but not if on loo!
The cooked breakfast was at the time that we request, which was lovely, and delicous.
Would recommend if you need to be near the University, as the Guest House is bang opposite. Also near Hanley were the Restaurants are etc.
