My family and I visited Weston Hall for a meal and this was our first visit since the reopening. We were shown into the bar area for drinks while we made our selection from the menu. My only complaint here would be that the music is far too loud making conversation difficult. It was comfortable apart from that. We were shown in to the dining area. The waiting staff ade very young but very pleasant. I would say that it would have been better had our drinks been taken through for us but that's just an observation. The menu is what I'd describe as "posh pub nosh". That's quite different from what it used to be but enjoyable nevertheless. The starters were well presented and tasty. We each had a different main course and they too were good as were the delicious desserts. The tables are a tad snug but excess glasses were removed which solved the problem. The setting of Weston Hall is lovely and the grounds are immaculate and we look forward to visiting again.

Hi Marijke12, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I'm delighted that you found our lounge area to be comfortable, although, disappointed that you found the music to be too loud. If you would have mentioned this to a member of staff they would have been happy to turn the volume down for you. Whilst being shown to your seats our staff are trained to carry any drinks to the table. I apologise if this was not done on this occasion. Thank you for your kind words in regards to the presentation and taste of our food, we take great pride in this. Many thanks for your review.

We where taken here by our very good friends we had visited, upon arrival we where warmly greeted by front of house and taken to sit in the public area. Drinks arrived very quickly and the gin and tonic presentation was very impressive, we where swiftly taken to our table and our starters arrived. After we finished the starters it all went a little wrong, there appeared to be a two minute power cut after which we where informed this would delay our main course by a little while. After 45mins they eventually arrived, my friend and I shared the chateaubriand and two sauces at a cost of £49.40. It was ordered medium rare it came medium accompanied with two mushrooms, vine tomatoes and a small bowl of chips ( not what I call good value for money ) We asked for extra chips which we got and the lady manager gave us another bottle of wine free of charge. It's a shame because it knocked the edge of the evening, I would like to thank Will who served he was excellent and tried to sort our problem.

Hi Stanley H, Many thanks for leaving a review. Thank you for your kind comments in regards to our lounge area and your enjoyable drinks prior to your meal. Unfortunately on the evening you dined with us we did experience a power cut. This was not confined to Weston Hall but in fact the whole surrounding area was affected. Undesirably this was a problem that was out of our hands. I apologise that this in turn meant that there was a delay in your food. I can also only apologise that your food was not cooked to your request. I am at ease to hear that the restaurant manager addressed the situation with you. I can also confirm that we have spoken to the member of your party that booked your reservation and discussed your experience in detail. Thank you for your feedback

Went here for my mothers birthday, food and drink were terrible. I used to really like this place, I live locally and have been here many times, I know that it has changed hands a few times over the years, but since the new owners have taken over, it has generally been very good. On the night of 14th July went here and ordered a bottle of white wine and a glass of red. Both wines were charge at the high end , but tasted very cheap and nasty. In supermarket terms these would have been less than £4 a bottle. I don't mind restaurants charging a bit extra for wine as they do have overheads , but I paid £22 a bottle. Not good enough. Worse was to come. I ordered Chateaubriand at £45 for my wife and I and asked for it to be cooked medium. It came tough and well done, completely ruining it. I complained to the female manager, who I have to say was delightful and offered free deserts which I declined, but accepted the refund on the wine. No complaints about the premises or front of house staff both of which are great, but the food and drink is expensive and not good enough.

We visited Weston Hall as a treat. It was recommended and did not disappoint. The food was excellent with as much taw as we could drink. We took 2 children and they were not forgotten as they do afternoon tea for kids! We even got a box to take cake home. Excellent afternoon.

We held our wedding at Weston Hall on 18.07.15. It was the most perfect day and exceeded all of our expectations. From the entire planning stage to the actual wedding day itself, the staff were very supportive, professional and could not do enough for us. Thank you so much to all at Weston Hall for helping to make it an amazing day to remember! We've also eaten at Weston Hall on numerous occasions and always found the food to be great, our wedding day was no exception. Definitely worth a visit.
