“Portions shrink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Since the last proprieter left food remains almost the same. No real change in food offered, portions have shrunk and seemed somewhat pricey compared to other restaurants in the same area. Standard ok. Just didnt seem to have the same atmosphere as before. Will be going elsewhere for the foreseeable

“Birthday celebration meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

A large group of family and friends went here on Saturday, Nov 2 for dinner to celebrate a special birthday. We had pre-ordered our menu requirements owing to the numbers and I only have praise for everything - from being greeted on arrival through to bidding farewell after the meal. Our food was served swiftly and every plateful piping hot - the staff showing patience when people had forgotten what they had ordered ! The food itself was excellent and I would recommend it highly. Special thanks to the restaurant manager on her patience and understanding of the several children who couldn't sit still. Will certainly return.

“Over priced average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Disappointed with this venue. Both our starters were served with salad that had seen better days. We brought this to the attention of the staff, but no comment was made. The liver parfait was delivered straight from the fridge and was over-chilled. The Thai fish cake was quite bland.
The main course was average and had we had paid the full price I would have been very dis-appointed. The home made chips were very nice and a nice array of vegetables, but the mains were nothing special for the prices charged. We sat in the conservatory and I was chilled.
The final nail was the bottle of wine we purchased was brought to our table opened.
We were expecting better. Sorry, but no return visit.

“Great Sunday Roast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

My husband and I are slowly trying all the local places to eat a Sunday Roast and today went to The Greyhound, first time either of us had been for years. It was really busy when we got there but they found us a table. Staff and service was great. Food was excellent. I had the Beef and Husband had the Chicken. Both really tender. Vegetable choice was different than the usual pub/restaurant with courgette and red cabbage and it comes with roast and new potatoes. Gravy, red wine with beef and roast with the chicken was again lovely. For dessert hubby had the vanilla cheesecake and said it was the best he has ever had. We will definitely be returning.

“Very nice :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

My husband and I visited the greyhound for a meal mid week just for a change. We were very impressed with the look of the place especially the conservatory which is where we were sat. The food is absolutely gorgeous and presentation lovely. Will be returning :)
