Firstly the welcome was very warm and friendly. Beers were excellent and well kept with a good choice of real ales. My wife and I ordered the specials. I had the belly pork which was very good but the crackling (the best part) appeared to have been removed. The dauphenoise potatoes served with it and the side of vegetables were excellent. My wife had the pollock but sadly this was overcooked and very dry. The crushed new potatoes were not crushed and could have done with a knob of butter to give them some moistness. Overall a very, very dry dish. She was a little disappointed. That said we would go again and give it a second chance. A nice friendly pub with reasonably priced food.
