“Lovely and close from town centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2011

My friend and I spent one night in the twin bedroom. Everything was charming and very cosy, Gwinny and Tony were adorable and extended a very warm welcome (they even allowd us to leave our car parked a couple of hours after check out), and the breakfast was excellent and serverd in the lovely conservatory. Thank you, and see you next time.

It's not always easy finding (and being able to pay for) a single room in the UK, so I was very happy to stumble onto this B&B. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. (The only reason I didn't give it a 5* for sleeping was I'm used to large beds -- no fault of theirs.) The owners were delightful, breakfast was delicious, everything was very clean. I highly recommend this place.

Thank you John and Ange for the great review. It was nice to be able to show you that there are good B & Bs in Somerset after your awful experience! Thanks again.

When we arrived Gwennie took one look at my hippy daughter and I could see a thought of "what on earth is this" going through her mind...but she took it in her stride and we couldn't have felt more welcome. Lovely clean and tidy room and a breakfast to die for...definitely on my return again list.

We are regular visitors to Glastonbury and near always stay at Apple Tree so we were a little concerned to hear that the owners had changed (we know the previous owners well having stayed so many times!)
However we needn't have worries because Apple Tree is still wonderful

Gwyneth and husband are friendly and helpful. (Chatting with Gwyneth is like chatting with an old friend) The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good and filling and the house is beautiful and homely. Apple Tree House remains our ' Home from Home' in Glastonbury.

A first time poster but felt compelled to say a big thank you to Gwynneth and hubby for making us feel so welcome. The room was cosy, warm and very clean, with fresh towels and choocies in the room every day. A great breakfast with very friendly hosts. We enjoyed looking out on the apple tree at breakfast each morning at the squirrel. A great location for the Tor and town centre, and close to bus station for Glastonbury festival. We will be back to the festival, and we will definitely be booking here again, and passing details to our friends, Many thanks
