We were getting married in Glastonbury on Saturdayt 21st June 2008.
We arrived at Parsnip on the 19th so that we could complete our wedding arrangements. We were welcomed warmly on our arrival, and made to feel at home straight away.

Nothing was too much trouble and we felt we had 'definetely found the right B&B.
We have stayed at various B&B's in other places, though this was our first time in Glastonbury, & we have to admit that we were not disappointed by anything at Parsnips, the food was excellent, and the service 'superb'! along with the room and the cleaniness.

We now know where we will be staying on our Anniversary date every year, and will shortly be booking up to ensure our date is spent at our 'favourite B&B,
Thank You Linda and Lloyd, for making our stay in Glastonbury such a happy one, see you next year,
'B' & 'J'

Parsnips was booked for us by someone who had stayed before, they said it was great, that was an understatement, Parsnips and Linda and Loyd were perfect, I could not find fault with anything.
I have been to many B&B's throughout the country and thought I had found the best in Folkestone in Kent, but Parsnips beat it by a mile.
If I want to go back to Glastonbury but find Parsnips full, then I will wait until they have a vacancy, that's how good I think they are.
It was worth the travel from Birmingham just for the breakfast it was truly excellent.
Highly recommended.

My friends and I spent three nights at Parsnips, in Glastonbury.
We arrived late and were greeted by the lovely Lynda, who offered to make us drinks and then book us a table for dinner at a local hostelry. Nothing was too much trouble for Lynda, who proved to be the perfect hostess and who made us welcome like part of the family.
Delicious gourmet breakfasts were cooked by Lloyd and taken in the conservatory.
Parsnips is a lovely house with four guest rooms and its own off-street car parking. All of the main Glastonbury sites of interest, including the town centre, are within 10 minutes walk.
The house has been tastefully renovated and, although the rooms are small, is extremely comfortable and there is a cosy feel to it. Furnishings, including the beds, are quality. Bedrooms are en-suite and have the usual tea/coffee making facility and tv, plus electric fan for hot weather and even a make-up mirror (which I didn't use.)
Next time I stay in Glastonbury, I will stay at Parsnips. (If they're not fully booked.)

  • Liked — Quality furnishings, attention to detail and friendliness/helpfulness of owners.
  • Disliked — Small bathroom.

We returned to Glastonbury for the May Day "round the Tor" 10k road run, and couldn't wait to get back to Parsnips where we stayed 2 years ago. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Lynda and a lovely cup of tea, and were amazed that she remembered us from our last visit.
Well, what can we say since last time? Parsnips remains just as superb, and the excellent reviews by others on this site are thoroughly deserved. Parsnips really has become the B&B by which we judge all others.
The rooms are spotless, with wonderful power showers (such a treat to come back to after running the 10k), and the breakfasts remain the best we've ever tasted. We still think the beds are like sleeping in lovely fluffy clouds, but still worth the effort of dragging yourself out of those lovely comfy sheets just to experience the wonderful breakfasts.
The location is excellent - close to Glastonbury town centre, The Tor, and Chalice Well, and we also discovered that we could walk to the nearby town and shopping centre of Street quite easily.
It was a real pleasure to stay at Parsnips, and we can't wait to go back there again - Highly recommended.

A warm welcome (with tea and coffee) from Lynda was well appreciated after our long journey. She took time to get to know our family, and was always available for local knowledge on where to go and where to eat, etc.
The accomodation was spotlessly clean and well fitted, with amaisingly comfortable beds in the en-suite rooms, and excellent breakfasts.
You can come and go as you please, easy walking distance to local attractions - highly recommended.

  • Liked — warn and friendly- quality accommodation throghout
  • Disliked — more milk for the in-room tea and coffee would have been nice.

We have been to Parsnips quite a few times over the past few years and it is the best b+b we have ever stayed at.
