“Great Premier Inn, but awful breakfast at Brewers Fayre!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Having spent a few nights at this Inn, with a room on the quiet side of the building, we have been very impressed. Staff have been friendly and nothing too much trouble. However, the breakfasts at the Brewers establishment next door were badly cooked, poor quality, and with little variety. We would stay at this Premier Inn again, but would find somewhere else to breakfast!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are quieter!

We spent one night at this P.I.. It is pretty new and that is reflected in our 5 star rating.
The whole place was very clean, our room was excellent, it was ground floor and at the back so it was very quiet as well.
ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful and all in all we had a good night there.
Next door is a Brewers Fayre, it was convenient, and the food was to a high standard. In fact we compared prices with the Wetherspoons in nearby Street and it was several pounds cheaper at the Brewers Fayre, and it was definetly better quality in nicer surroundings.

Obviously Glastonbury, the Tor and Street are the attractions and this P.I. is ideally located.

Can genuinely say that we could not find fault with this place and will definetly stay again.

If you are not travelling with children try and get a room on the second floor. We stayed downstairs on the ground floor and the noise is unbearable.
Glastonbury has a lot to offer but this is not reflected by this hotel. I get the feeling its used by passing traffic rather than those wishing to stay and take in the atmosphere of this lovely town

Once you've been in one premier inn, you've been in them all design wise so nothing new there. But this is a new build hotel so everything is still in full working order. The corridors still smell of new carpet. The room was clean, the hotel feels secure as you need the key card for your room to get beyond the front desk. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We arrived at the Premier Inn, to a rave going on across the road with loads of shouting and swearing which my 5yr old did not need to hear. The hotel soon got onto the police and asked them to tone it down. The hotel seemed very nice on the outside and impressed with the inside as it was a new hotel and was only built in January 2013.
The receptionist staff where very good and polite and helpful, in the room we stayed in was 119 even though we where overlooking the rave going on we could not hear it which was good. We had air conditioning which was great but as the heat built up to the evening we though we would open the windows to sleep with some fresh air, but unfortunately the windows do not open as the sign read for our safety.
But we could not have the air conditioning on all night, as it was too cold after 1/2hr and very noisy, the beds are very very soft so if you have a bad back like me and need a firm bed then I suggest you grin and bear it with no sleep or stay somewhere else, normally the beds at the Premier inn are OK but not this one, but the rest of the room in good condition.
As for Breakfast we had 2 days of having breakfast but if we where there a 3rd day we would have gone elsewhere. They always have a buffet breakfast to help yourself like they did on the first day but half of the food was missing and you got no joy from the staff, on the 2nd day no buffet at all you had to order your breakfast from the waitress or waiter which we did half an hour later still waiting then they came back and told us that they had lost our order and we had to order again. After 15 mins again it came out and it was the wrong order and not what we ordered so after an hour we finally got what we had ordered. One gentleman had his order mixed up so many times and the length of time waited he asked for a refund and not very happy.
When we checked out we told the receptionist about our experience and she had said it was not the first complaint she had that morning but she did refund us our breakfast which we where very pleased with as we did not expect it, so the premier Inn pulled it back again for us but get the breakfast sorted and get some porridge in as this is the first Premier hotel not to have any porridge on 2 days running.

Room Tip: Great Hotel just give the breakfast a miss and go around the next corner for a subway breakfast or a...
