“PERFECT”

I cannot fault our recent stay at Millstream Cottage. The warm friendly down to earth service we received was second to none. From the little touches to the homemade biscuits. The breakfast was the best I've ever tasted!!

My husband and I made a spur of the moment decision to visit as we had a recent bereavement and needed to get away. We know the area well from our previous visits to Dunster as we love it's history.

Both Sue & Charles were so accommodating. We can both highly recommend Millstream cottage the view from the bedroom was beautiful I opened the window and didn't want to leave!!

Room Tip: Ours ( the red one) had a wonderfully comfortable bed. We were also shown the newly decorated king-s...

We stayed at mill stream cottage over the Easter bank holiday.
The cottage itself was lovely, our red room was quaint and well quipped. Little touches like mineral water bottles, chocolates on the bedside made us feel very welcome.
Sue is a knowledgable host, helped us with our sightseeing recommendation based on our interest. I know we enjoyed exmoor better thanks to our hosts recommendation.
We were welcomed at their B and B with a welcoming afternoon tea, delicious apple cake.
The breakfast was delicious.
All and all a lovely, well maintained cozy B and B, in a lovely village.

Room Tip: Do book in advance because the rooms get booked very fast

A very warm welcome from two wonderful hosts awaits your arrival. Everything from the delicious apple cake to the beautifully decorated rooms is faultless; the attention to personal requirements is second to none. Extremely friendly, beautiful area, will definitely return.

Excellent B&B in every way. What can I say that hasn't already been said? A wonderful warm friendly welcome from Sue & Charles. A beautiful cottage and pretty garden, tastefully decorated, comfortable, spotless rooms, excellent facilities with every detail carefully thought out. Maps, books and local guides, recommendations of local drinking and eating places, delicious extensive breakfast menu - locally sourced (including Sue's homemade sausages), tea/coffee & apple cake in the guest lounge on arrival, and tea / coffee facilities and homemade biscuits in the room. Ideally situated in the centre of the village, close to Dunster Castle, with walks from the door.
As we were leaving, Sue was busy looking for some shaving foam for a guest who had forgotten to bring his. We have already recommended Millstream Cottage to friends.

I cannot recommend Millstream Cottage highly enough. I could rant on and on about the immediate feeling of welcome you recieve as soon as you enter the cottage door, the warmth and hospitality that smothers you like a warm blanket, the tea and beautiful apple cake upon arrival, the genuine interest and helpfulness of the hosts, the delicious breakfasts, homely and comfortable bedroom and reception rooms,,,Only one complaint...we so wish we could have stayed much, much longer. Had a fantastic two night break, made even more special by Sue and Charles` hospitality.

Sue greeted us with a piece of homemade chocolate cake and our choice of tea or coffee, both delicious. Sue is amazingly welcoming and friendly, and we were soon chatting away as though we had known each other for a long time. We stayed in the red room overlooking the garden which was perfect, and the (new) bed was lovely and firm.

The breakfast was perfect and I had my boiled eggs, all sourced from Sue`s friends farm just a few miles from the cottage. Unfortunately we missed Sue`s homemade sausages by one day but I can`t imagine that they would be less than stunning. Charles was also happy to help, and he made us laugh by saying that Sue was working him hard in his retirement!

Sue was more than happy to recommend walks, trips and make meal bookings for us, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I hope a TV producer takes Sue up on her idea, as we think it is brilliant. If you want to know more you need to stay with Sue and ask her!

The cottage is a nice walk from Dunster castle and the lovely gardens (go to the watermill and Lovers Bridge) and a hot cup of coffee with some of Sue`s homemade biscuits certainly slipped down a treat!

Thank you to Sue & Charles for a perfect birthday weekend away, both Andy & I can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: They are all beautiful!

What a fantastic B&B. From the moment we walked through the door we felt completely at home. Sue made us tea and served us apple cake in the guest sitting room and within no time at all we were chatting like old friends. The bedroom we had was wonderful and breakfast certainly set us up for the day. Sue and Charles know the area really well so if you want advice on anything from the best local walks or where to eat in the evening their advice is spot on. Millstream is in the heart of the village with pubs, restaurants and castle just a short walk away. A brilliant place to stay and we look forward to going back.
