Description: If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

“Very different well worth a try!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

We visited after the restaurant was recommended by a friend, after a little searching we located the building, slightly hard to find as it's in basements! But this only serves to add to the charm, very authentic great service, real fresh feel to the food and nicely spiced, the pork momos are delicious as is the Lamb yak yeti yak main dish, if you like spice then they are willing to adjust all meals. We had the house red which is not great but paired with the food it seemed to improve!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

I visited with my 7 year old son who has allergies to tomato and egg. The staff were fantastic and made a special meal just for him. He loved it and so did we. I recommend the lamb starter and spiced carrot tart for dessert. But everything was lovely. So fresh tasting and beautifully spiced.

“Hidden gem, great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

We found this place looking for some new type of food to explore ande it was a perfect choice.
You can choose between normal tables and low ones with pillow seats on the ground. The very friendly waiter, knowing all dishes in details, gave us some advise about how to combine different parts to form kind of a tasting menu. We got a nice selection of dishes and liked all of them very much - thanks for the great evening!

“Excellent find in Bath, tasty, authentic and great for a change!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

We actually went to this restaurant because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and my wife and I were very pleased with this little gem. It is situated in the basement of a middle property in a long line of terrace buildings making it very easy to miss! Needless to say it doesn't offer much in the way of views but it makes you look around the restaurant and see all the Nepalese ornaments that have been brought over from the country by the owners. These more than keep your eyes busy whilst the staff do a great job at subtly serving you very promptly. The food itself is brilliant, especially if you like to try new things and the suggestions in the menu are honest and correct in the number of dishes you need for the average appetite. My wife and I are sometimes cautious when it comes to restaurants recommending what to buy as some are less scrupulous but here we had no such fears. We had dumplings to start then a mixture of dishes and dals for the main and it was all delicious. The drinks were not overly expensive and the Nepalese beer is pretty good too. All in all I'd highly recommend to anyone that wanted to stray away from the usual Italians and burgers found on most high streets.

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

We came to this restaurant on a recommendation and we are very pleased we did. We turned up on a Sunday night and were able to have a choice of low or high table seating. We opted for the low tables and got comfortable on floor cushions. The service was excellent and our food came very promptly. The serving sizes were just right and the food really was delicious. We will definitely come again!
