Went there based upon several recommendations from friends and I'm glad we did.....we enjoyed good food, good wine and what I would say was, excellent service!!...
It was a nice looking place with an open kitchen and had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere
The staff contributed greatly to this, including the 3 chefs, who looked like they were enjoying themselves
Rycroft, our waiter, was great. He knew the menu, knew the wines and nothing was too much trouble
The only minor criticism, if there was one, was that some of the tables were a tad too close together where we were, near the kitchen end. This could have made our dining experience a lot less romantic. Although this didn't turn out to be problem, since the table next to us was not occupied until later on
Having said that, I would thoroughly recommend the Firehouse + there is a very nice bar next door - The Salamander
The only regret I had was not going back there the following evening, where we encountered a very different dining experience!
