“A Classic B&B in a Classic West of England City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2010

My wife and I stayed for two nights at this handy B&B, close to the centre of Bath. Close indeed it was but because of our lack of a good map, and the one-way sreet system, finding it proved difficult. That was soon put right by a desperate phonecall to our host who went to inordinate lengths to guide us street by street to our destination. It turned out to be quite easy - once one knew how. The B&B was very comfortably furnished and provided splendid English breakfasts for each of the two mornings of our stay. Another bonus was its proximity to a local shopping area with at least two highly acceptable eateries - The Ring-O-Bell where we enjoyed first-rate tapas and The White Hart which provided an excellent table. The B&B was also only a shortish walk to town where all the major tourist attractions, eg, the Roman Baths, Sally Lunns House, the Royal Crescent etc, can be visited on foot in a day.

Came back yesterday from a weekend stay in Bath and so pleased we chose to stay at the Apple Tree Guest House. Close enough to the centre for easy walking distance but far enough away that there was no noise disturbance. Les and Lynsay were an absolute pleasure to stay with - can't highly recommend staying with them enough - you certainly won't regret it. We will certainly never stay anywhere else now whenever visiting Bath

Apple Tree Guest House was the first stop on a three week vacation around the UK with our two teens. I have to say that Les and Lynsay set the bar very high for the remaining six B&B's we stayed at during our holiday. Their home is in a wonderful location -- only an easy 5 minute walk into Bath. It is set on a lovely street. The rooms we rented were spotlessly clean and very comfortable with wonderful thoughtful touches. Les and Lynsay made us all feel so welcome and comfortable -- they are both so personable and friendly! They serve a delicious breakfast with a great selection in a bright cheery room. I would definitely return to the Apple Tree Guest House if I ever have the opportunity! Thank you Les and Lynsay (and Euan!) for such a wonderful stay while we were in Bath!!!

I found this place on the internet. Prior to leaving from Australia, I received a lovely e.mail from the owners with an attachment of a map showing how to get to the B&B from the station. On arrival, I was made so welcome. The owners were the most delightful couple and couldn`t do enough to help. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. It was my favourite accommodation whilst holidaying in Britain.

Apple Tree Guest House is a perfect place to stay while visiting Bath. Perfectly situated for a very easy 5min walk into town. Although very close to town the guest house is tucked away in a very pleasant, quiet, leafy street with off street parking.

There is a canal very close to the guest house which made for a delightful alternative walk into town, allowing us to enjoy the beautifully elegant Georgian properties that run alongside the canal.

The owners Leslie and Lynsay Redwood offered us an exceptionally warm welcome and made our stay very comfortable. They were both very knowledgeable about Bath and were a great source of information for places to see and visit. They were so friendly to us and really went out of their way to make us feel at home, including our two young children.

The breakfasts were super and catered for all my families needs. A warmer friendlier service we couldn't have received.

The guest house is spotlessly clean, both in the communal areas and the bedrooms. We had the family room which was perfect for our needs, very light, airy and plenty of room. There were tea making facilities with complimentary chocolates and a flat screen tv with built in dvd player.

I would have no hesitation recommending Apple Tree Guest House and will definitely make a return visit there.

A first class guest house, with first class service in a first class city.

This has got to be the friendliest guest house we've ever stayed at. Les & Lynsay are the perfect hosts. They made us feel so at home that we really didn't want to leave! The guest house has been very tastefully decorated and our room was very comfortable and well equiped. We were very impressed at how Les remembered everyone's names at breakfast! Lovely food, nothing too much trouble. Great touch with the chocolate in the rooms and loved the lollies in reception!! Location is excellent. Overall, one of the best stays we've had in Bath - and we've been to Bath quite a lot!

Les and Lyns are lovely people. We felt extremely welcome at Apple Tree Guest House. The location was great within 6 -7 minutes walk into Bath. Free parking. Our double room had an en suite, the guest house was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good. Would recommend as a great base to explore the area.
