“Truly delightful”

Queen Charlotte's Orangery

Nov 6, 2007

I took my girlfriend away for the weekend to Bath for her birthday, and we stayed at Queen Charlotte's Orangery for 2 nights in the Sophia Room. I chose the Sophia Room primarily for the 4-poster bed, and whilst it's not the biggest room in the world, it was very intimate and there was enough space for the pair of us. The decor and furnishings are to a very high standard while the room has Sky TV and a courtesy tray.

The Orangery's location is good, being just a short walk from the centre of Bath, so it's in quiet enough surroundings but not too far out of "the action". Service-wise, we were welcomed & looked after by Greg, who put us right at ease with afternoon tea in the garden on arrival and cooked a lovely full breakfast each morning.

A truly delightful stay, very romantic and a unique property - would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bath.

“What a fabulous place to stay”

Queen Charlotte's Orangery

Sep 27, 2007

The photos on the website show the oppulance but the reality is out of this world. The rooms are decorated and furnished to such a high standard and the Italian garden on a sunny morning is just ideal for a lazy cooked breakfast.
I would recommend The Queen Charlotte's Orangery to anyone wanting to stay in Bath, it is central.
The only downside of such a high recommendation is that other people will find this gem and want to stay there too and I might have to wait for another fabulous stay.

About a 10-15 minute "flat" walk to the city center, this extraordinarily french charmer B&B was just terrific. The host, Greg, was very helpful and friendly, his breakfast cooking skills above average - cooked to order.
The room was very nicely done, lots of closet space, bathroom larger than most. The garden is relaxing and inviting, filled with architectual interest and the ever-popular English Garden. The atrium in which we had breakfast was a great opener to the day.

Will easily stay again and recommend to others.

What a find! Fabulous place to stay. Stayed there with my husband as part of our honeymoon. The room was sumptuous, intimate and romantic with four poster bed complete with all the trimmings whilst including all the modern facilities we expect. The Orangery's garden is delightful. The owner, Gregg, made us feel very welcome right from the beginning with the offer of a hot drink as soon as we arrived. Service and ambiance was just right: we felt welcome to use the place like it was our own without feeling that our privacy was invaded. This is an absolute jewel of a place to stay and recommend it to all we know. Will definitely stay there again when in Bath.

Recently decided to take a long weekend to bath, but my wife is very fussy so i was under pressure to find something special, to say the least i was successful. Aswell as the lovely owners Gregg and Denise, the accomadation was stunning. The garden where we ate our breakfast was wonderful, and the room was one of a kind. The trip was made more special when the owner explained that the property was once Queen Charlottes Orangery where she spent alot of her time. Will definately be visiting again and would recomend a stay here to anyone.
