We have just returned from a week long break at The Residence and cannot recommend it enough.

At eight and half months pregnant, we chose to go there in order to pamper ourselves and relax before our new arrival and we were not disappointed.

We stayed in the Attic Room and although it is the smallest of the rooms, it definitely does not disappoint. They really have thought of everything and you could quite happily spend your entire stay cocooned in your room.

We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was amongst the best we have ever had, as was every breakfast we ordered to be eaten in our room.

The hotel is in a perfect location, within walking distance to the city centre (even with swollen ankles) although we did take advantage of the free taxi down to the city which goes every half an hour and will take you wherever you want to go.

The entire hotel is beautiful and will not leave you wanting for anything but it is most definitely the staff that made our stay so special. Every single member of staff treated us like friends and couldn't do enough to help us. I can't tell you how touched we were when they presented us with a gift for the baby on our last day, it just goes to show how friendly they really are.

Overall, I could not find one fault with the entire hotel and can only hope to be going back there soon. I will definitely be recommending it to friends and family!

We stayed in the King Room for our honeymoon and it was amazing, definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are all incredibly warm and welcoming and the whole experience leaves you feeling more like you are staying in a luxurious home rather than a hotel. Probably the only place I have stayed where I'd quite happily stay in my room all weekend! The food is fabulous and they don't take the mickey with overpriced mini bar, the drinks are all very reasonable and they don't charge extra for brekkie in bed. The little touches are great, all White Co. linen, bedding and bath stuff....lovely! Also a perfect place for a romantic/ dirty weekend, we had an "adult drawer" in our room, what a great idea!!! I cannot recommend this place enough, pure luxury and indulgence, a real treat!

Oh my god, what can we say??? This place is amazing. Ok its a bit expensive, but as a treat we would definatley recommend it. We stayed in the King room, and it was fab, the bathroom is as big as our lounge!!!! And the bath is huge!!. The staff are so helpful, and advised us where to go in the Bath for food and drinks, althought the food at The Residence was also exeptional. The whole experience was amazing and we would definatley recommend it. We would love to go back, and hopefully will! You will not be disappointed. P.S- check out the cupboards for extra suprises!!!!

My husband surprised me with a romantic weekend away in Bath for my 40th birthday last weekend and we stayed in the Queen room. Very nice indeed! Tastefully decorated with splendid furniture and great attention to detail. In fact the whole place was just immaculate.View from the front window over was lovely especially as the sun was shining.
We were both made to feel very welcome from the minute of our arrival and wished we could have stayed for longer than two nights. Great location, just outside of the hussle and bustle of Bath but near enough so that the walk into the city centre takes about fifteen minutes and passes all great architecture of the Cresent and the Circus on the way.
The staff were all very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Great local restaurant The Pinch was recommended which was also excellent.
I 'm sure we will be returning when the next special occasion arises.
Thanks to everyone who made our stay so wonderful.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Residence in Bath for two nights in December as a treat for his birthday and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, breakfasts fantastic and you must try the sauna and steam room! We stayed in the Attic room, which is the cheapest, and although the room was very nice at £150 a night it is quite expensive. However we both decided our trip was worth every penny as the hotel was gorgeous, the staff very friendly and helpful and Bath is a beautiful city to visit. If you fancy a bit of a treat, this is the place for you - you won't be disappointed! We would also recommend the Bath spa experience package for £55 a person which includes entrance to the Roman Baths, a champagne cream tea in the Pump Room (make sure you're very hungry!) and a two hour pass to the new Bath Thermae Spa (lying in the open air roof top pool in the dark at the end of December is an experience not to be missed!)
