“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

I stayed here with my mother and sister in 2011. It was a really charming place, although the walk up the stairs to our room was a hassle. The Henry was in a really good location right in the centre of bath, so a short walk to most of the major attractions, like the roman bath house. Breakfast here was amazing, probably the highlight of our short stay here. There was also plenty of parking nearby which was great because we drove to bath. The people working here were really friendly and helpful. We accidentally left a set of keys in our room, we called them up the next day when we realised and they happily mailed it to a friend in London, so we were able to get them easily at the end of our road trip. Fantastic place, I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Small but pleasant room with nice new furniture, overlooking the roofs of the Bath city center. Excellent modern shower, all very clean. We were given a complete set of towels, bathrobe and slippers for a visit of the New Bath Thermae - thank you very much.

We loved the location, and the B&B was great, as well as the breakfast both mornings. We highly recommend this B&B, even though, there is no lift to the top floor, it was still worth the cost of booking. The room we had was great, we booked another room for our daughter,& husband, & they shared it with our son. Their room was also great, 1 dbl, & 1 single bed.
It was very close to the train station, and the walk to and from the train station was great.
The city history was amazing, the Abbey,Roman Baths,Stonehenge, all worth seeing.
Thank you we had a great 2 day visit.

We started our 2 week trip though England here, the room was nice, small but that seems to be the norm. The breakfast was good. One complaint was the noise from the street as people tend to walk by talking loud for most the night.

What a treat! Loved the history associated with the building and proximity to all the major sights in Bath. History seeps from every nook and cranny. Built in the 1700's the Henry reflects and keeps the style of the city. Managers Jana and Jerry serve a mean breakfast, and nothing seemed too much trouble. There are plenty of nearby pubs and quaint restaurants nearby to have dinner and lunch when shopping and sightseeing get too much. Highly recommended for your family on holiday, business or just a holiday break.

We stayed one night at the Henry. The location is great, as it is close to the train station, and just a short walk to Bath Abbey, Roman Baths and all the sights. The room we stayed in is spacious, with a comfortable bed and a nice chair to sit by the window while sipping a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast was very good, especially the sausages and the banana bread!!

The only "hiccup" was - when we arrived at the B&B shortly after 11am, we went to the Henry and rang the door bell, but no one came to answer the door. We rang a few more times and still no one came. We just started to get a wee bit worried (we waited for about 15 minutes in the rain), our hostess opened the door! So I guess if you arrive before check in time, do let them know ahead of time so they expect your arrival!

I booked just one night at The Henry, on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Bath. It was perfect for my visit, close to the train station and ideally located for exploring Bath by foot. My room was on the top floor, but I had been made aware of this when I booked, so I wasn't worried by the stairs - it was small but furnished for all my requirements; wi-fi, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, tv, comfy bed, soft towels and a beautiful bathroom just across the landing (solely for my use, the other rooms had en-suite facilities). Staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfast was great and I was able to leave my luggage whilst I explored the city. I would happily book again, a charming b&b in a Georgian townhouse in a great location. Bath is expensive, so I think this was good value given it's location.
