I have just returned from two nights at the Radnor Guest House, Bath and have no hesitation in recommending this establishment. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Bath. We had a room on the ground floor at the back, overlooking the pretty courtyard garden. The room wasn't enormous but was spotlessly clean as was the en-suite. The shower was a good size. The decor looked fresh and the room was well equipped. Lots of reading material about Bath had been provided. However, the real star of the show was the breakfast, freshly cooked using quality ingredients. I really enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs plus the lovely fruit salad. The owners were friendly and very kindly looked after our luggage for us on the last day. The only little niggle I had was with the heating and this seems to be a common problem with small B&Bs in the summer. There were radiators in both the room and the en-suite but these were off at the mains. Yes, I know it's July but the weather is so topsy-turvey in the UK these days that you might have times when you turn the heating on occasionally in the summer and off in the winter. On one day of our trip it rained for the whole day without ceasing so by the time we got back to our room we were a little damp to say the least and could have done with the radiator on for an hour or two. It also meant our towels didn't really dry out overnight in the bathroom. I realise cost is such a big implication here but I would rather pay a bit more and have the option of turning the heating up or down as required. This is the only reason I didn't give an 'excellent' score overall. However, this is a lovely B&B and reasonably priced.
